Magic - the study of Ink (Raw magic) and Amberline (Set Magic).
Performed by an Illustrist (A magician, alchemist, priest and engineer all in one, who knows how to work the raw materials of magic into something that can be used.)
The Small Magics can be performed by any living being using their own 'qasif' - living flame/life force. There is a finite supply of 'qasif' in the body, and it can be used up. The small magics allow people to mould the world in almost negligible ways, like having a little extra bit of luck one day, making a breeze blow, knowing when it's about to rain, or never burning a loaf of bread.
