Factions

Rules for the Faction Game can be found here
The 5 Aldermen (Curniloa, Doithilm, Froidi, Lia, Stilla), and their bands, are now at each other’s throats due to philosophical disagreements on what to do about the situation. They’re all convinced, via pride, that they’re right and that the others are fools.   Their men are hazing each other and using it as a reason to pick fights   People who’re unaligned with any of the aldermen are leaving so those that are left over are more radicalized

    Relationships

    Lytgardos's Stash

The people of Sydlagir say that their tavern, the Cheap Worker, is where the notorious pirate, Three-Hands Lytgardos was killed.

    The Pit of the Goddess

On the new moon, the villagers of Sydlagir will pile what they wish to sacrifice to the goddess in the middle of the village. From there, the priests take it to The Pit of the Goddess and thrown everything in.

    Prensuchdt

The people of Sydlagir have been living for Prensuchdt and have started to push their political agenda in the village.   The rich and power of Prensuchdt often have country homes in Sydlagir

    Tyrmdrihin

The soldiers of Tyrmdrihin used to pay much more attention to Sydlagir until the coast road shut down and now they've pretty much abandoned at as not being strategically unimportant.

    Waldschnayzin

Trade used to come along the coast road until the Waldschnayzin settled on the route and basically made it a non-starter. Since then, the village of Sydlagir has started to die.

    Questions

    Why Here?

It served as the point where trade caravans from the south would load on ferries for the final leg to Prensuchdt
It also served as a summer home for people escaping Prensuchdt in the summer

    What Does the Village Provide?

It did provide a ferry point and a non-swamp environment for the powerful of Prensuchdt
There are hot springs and clean water

    What Does It Lack?

It doesn’t under normal circumstances but since the grunzen moved in, and the caravans have dried up, the source of the local factions’ power has disappeared, leading to instability as the village deflates and tries to adapt.

    What Threatens It?

There’s a lot of emigration from the area to Prensuchdt and the current power structures are collapsing so there is a level of growing chaos and tension.

    How does it Protect Itself?

Currently, there is a shadow war. Nobody truly wants to break the peace in a way that would be obvious since it would drive out the last source of power: the Prensuchdt vacationers but the council that ran the town is at each other’s throats in the night.   It costs peace and safety, security and peace of mind, for the normal villager.

    What Are the Norms?

Traditions, Beliefs, Religions, etc. What does the average person value? What are its Traditions? What beliefs does everyone have? What are the major and minor religions? How do the people see themselves?
