Illuamor meets Inu, the first of the adventurers chosen by the God of Light, Amarus, to assist him in finding the ten pieces of the Crown of Truth. Inu reveals herself only after Illuamor stumbles for an hour through the Forests of the Ancients on the island of Kagawa, part of the Lolos Republic. Inu agrees to help him on his quest and calls her dragon friend, Shirakawa, to fly them to the city of Kagi.
Illuamor and Inu arrive in Kagi, the capital of Nishi Province on Kagawa island. There, the two wander around the market district, where Illuamor buys a a magical pot. They also find a strange vendor called "Inconspicuious Vegetable Seller" that is run by a young man named Syn and his three companions. However, it is obvious that Syn has no idea how much vegetables cost when Illuamor goes to buy some. The crystal Amarus gave Illuamor makes a golden halo appear above Syn's head, marking him as one of his destined companions. Syn agrees to go on the journey with them since it sounds interesting.
Inu, Illuamor, Syn and his retainers leave the port of Kagi on a ship to the mainland of the Lolos Republic. Illuamor attracts the attention of a curious salamander Faunus named Tadashi with his magical pot. Tadashi makes the decision to travel with the party from now on because he finds them interesting and wants to find someone who can teach him how to be an Enhancer.
On their way to the mainland of the Lolos Republic from Kagawa island, the Republic Group is attacked by a group of Chuul. The monsters rise out of the ocean and begin to target Illuamor specifically, and try to steal the crystal Amarus gave him that can light up when a piece of the Crown of Truth is close by. With the help of Tadashi, a bounty hunter named Estrella, and Captain Anya, the party manages to fend off the Chuul.
Elvari is summoned to The World In-Between from his home plane in Barovia by Soren, the God of Dead and Darkness. Soren was originally planning to kill Elvari, until he hears of Elvari's past. Soren instead adopts Elvari as his son and tells him to find the ten pieces of the Crown of Truth, so that Emperor Titus Cicero cannot use its power for selfish means.
The beginning of the campaign for The Empire Group.
Vania Vanitas, Captain of the City Watch, witnesses one of the vendors in the Arcanists' District run away in fear. Once she follows the source, she sees Theilear and several others looking through items the vendor left behind. A scuffle eventually breaks out between Vania and some of Theilear's companions, leaving Theilear a suspect on the run as Vania loses sight of him. She orders Glyn to track him down.
The Empire Group meets with Emperor Titus Cicero Amalius, who entrusts them with the quest of finding his daughter, Cassia, who went missing the day before. The party leaves Ledon, the City of Spires, to head toward the Empire's only Oracle of Amarus, Janina.
A youth dressed in all black known as Slyth broke Lux's arm in the Cracked Goblet tavern for no apparent reason. Lux was sitting with Astrid, Sirenna, and another companion who works for her when Slyth approached her and started trying to fight her out of nowhere. The scene caused a tavern fight to start up until Glyn, one of the City Watch, appeared in the tavern. Glyn has been trying to track down the culprits ever since.
Theilear, a Spring Fae who caused a bit of fuss in Falonde, manages to break out of the Falonde City Watch Precinct during the night. No one has any idea how he managed to do it, but some suspect he had inside help. The City Watch and Elysian Empire guards have been searching for the Fae since then.
The Empire Group's airship flies through a sandstorm on their way to the Oracle Janina and is attacked by a swarm of Giant Fire Beetles. Afterward, they continue on their way into the mountains, where they find the Empire's Western Temple of Amarus. It is here that they speak to Janina and discover that Emperor Titus' true mission for them is to find the ten pieces of the Crown of Truth for himself.
The beginning of the campaign for The Lost and Found.
During the fight between the Empire Group and the riders attacking their airship under Atlas' orders, Ivan ends up dying. His soul is sucked into The World In-Between, where he sees a vision of his death. He then sees someone standing over him with long black hair and a leather jacket. Ivan's own hair turns black instead of white, and his eyes change from purple to red. He asks the stranger if he can get a new gun from him. The person asks Ivan what he is, asks who comes to the Underworld asking for guns, and says they finds him weird. However, they still hand Ivan a gun from their own holster. Ivan says he'll find a way to get out of The World In-Between despite not knowing how. The stranger removes the bullets from their gun and pulls a magical sycthe from it, which they use to slice Ivan in half. Ivan's body and soul then returns to the airship with the rest of the party.
The Empire Group's airship is attacked by a group of masked riders on the backs of winged leopards known as Emona. The riders turn out to be commanded by Atlas, the same assassin who infultrated Titus Cicero's legion 20 years ago. He admits that he also killed Emperor Titus' wife and has a massive bounty on his head that follows him no matter where he goes. He offers to make a deal with the party in helping them finding Cassia and showing his sincerity to the Emperor in return for him being wiped free from his crimes.
Elvari arrives in Falonde, Nyxvanus after being teleported by Soren. He finds a tavern and starts to search for anyone who knows where he can find a young Fae woman. There he meets Dune, who tells Elvari about a temple for the god Amarus at the edge of Bridge Village, and a half-Orc named Andrew currently traveling around. The two are questioned by a member of the Falonde City Watch named Glyn, who's trying to find information about a recent barfight. They grab a large moth Faunus with amnesia named Alethe before leaving at the request of the barkeep, since Alethe was blocking the tavern's entrance by staring at a lantern outside. Alethe agrees to go with Elvari and the others on their way to the temple of Amarus.
After the battle with the Chuul is over, Captain Anya puts the ship back on course to the mainland of the Lolos Republic. Three days pass before the Republic Group finally docks at the Port of Chujing. The party eventually disboards the ship and follows Tadashi outside of the city to meet his "pen pal" who can take them to their next destination.
Once their falling airship safetly lands, the crew realizes that the engine is practically beyond repair from the Emona's attacks, and they'll have to walk on foot to the closest town. After traveling through The Decaying Frontier, the Empire Group makes it to Florium, a town in the Western Elysian Empire. On the way there, the party spots a giant skeleton warrior covered in sand and erosion sticking out of the rocky desert terrain. After Doc asks Lexus about the warrior, he explains that it is left over from the dawn of the Age of Ancients, back when the gods battled each other. The party proceeds to Florium, which Ivan remembers as the first town he visited after he died and came back to life.
The party decides to go to the Florium Trade Guildhall. Beforehand, Doc unchains Atlas under the agreement he doesn't kill anyone (unless they tell him to) or commit anymore crimes so that they can get him pardoned by the Emperor. Then, they head out to Florium's trading post. Inside the extremely opulent Guildhall, they meet Primus Babudious, a beloved politican in the town and head of the Guildhall. Using their authority under the Emperor, they manage to convince Primus to allow them to rent an airship until they get to the next town's tradepost.
The Lost and Found Meets Bear, the pet of Charlotte's adoptive grandmother, Opal. Bear leads them through the forest of Nyxvanus and the Feywild.
Elvari finds a portal to The World In-Between where he can speak to Grimshaw, who tells the party to try and search the Fae Courts for the pieces of the Crown of Truth. He says the Empire seems to have their own group and might be close to their own piece. However, he has no idea where the first piece is. He then leaves the group after giving Elvari a special key to call for him if absolutely needed.
It takes 12 hours for the party to travel to Glantry, the Last City of Lindworm, in the stomach of a Giant Sandworm also known as Tadashi's pen pal. The Sandworm spits them out on a mountain not far from Glantry's main government building. The group has to work in pairs to pedal mini airships up the mountain onto where the main government building is perched.
The Republic Group meets Gelure, the last of their destined companions chosen by Amarus to find the crown pieces. Gelure was summoned to Glantry ahead of time after the Lolos Republic's oracle recieved a revelation from Amarus about a group of people who could solve their problems. Gelure joins the party while waiting outside of the main government building for the council to begin their meeting.
The Lost and Found arrives in Lighthorn, a small village in the Summer Fae Court, after falling through a portal in the Feywild. The travel through planes causes time to pass before they fall into water on the otherside. There, they meet a person named Twig, who says they should try going to the captial if they want to try to get to the Spring Court. The party originally meant to go to the Spring Court, but was mislead by Andrew, who got the two confused.
Illuamor and Estrella decide to take Tadashi and leave the rest of party behind to find a tavern while they're waiting for the government building to open. They fly down the mountain and land in the main city of Glantry, finding a tavern pretty quickly. The two end up meeting a mysterious clown named Scurra, who Estrella gets into into a fight with. The scuffle escalates into a tavern fight where Veramor rips out the barkeep's eye and then kills a man when Illuamor is trying to save Estrella. Too late, they realize they forgot Tadashi at the tavern.
Nearly a day passes as the Empire Group flies on their new Skybarge toward Salonac. When they reach the crossroads between Salonac and Canone, the crew points out an area where merchants have been disappearing into the sand. The party decides to jump down into the sand and fall into an underground tomb.
While searching for Tadashi in Glantry, Illuamor, Estrella, and Scurra follow his scent to Greenhorne, a temple of the God of Nature, Awinasin. The temple is the home of a green dragonborne priest named Nidur. He tells them Tadashi left earlier, but was searching for the artist/guild district. Scurra reappears in front of Illuamor and Estrella after following close behind them the whole time.
Ivan asks Dandit for a pocket watch in return for the gun he got from the Modern Plane. Dandit finds the gun interesting and allows Ivan to take only the pocket watch. Ivan then asks if he can free him from the gold Primus' gauntlets turned him into. Dandit laughs and spews his acid breath over Ivan, causing him to die once again. Ivan's soul is partially sucked into the pocket watch, while the other pieces rejoin in The World In-Between, where he ends up startling the same person he saw before (Grimshaw) while they were writing in their journal. Grimshaw gets extremely angry from being interrupted in his private quarters and takes out a gun to shoot Ivan in the head before he can even ask for another gun to replace the one he gave Dandit.
While Doc wrestles Dandit, the Young Black Dragon, Leo and Merlin end up finding a hidden locked chest with the first discovered piece of the Crown of Truth. The party books it out of the room after Doc makes the ceiling collapse on the dragon and follows after Ivan and Lexus. Ivan, Leo, and Doc argue about where they should go next, at one point even considering dropping Altas off in the Empire's prison. Everyone agrees it's best to find Cassia, THEN search for the next piece of the crown.
Illuamor, Estrella, & Scurra enter the Artificers' Guild House, searching for Tadashi. Nails and gears shoot toward Estrella as she is stuck to the floor from a curse she got after stealing from gold offerings meant for Amarus. Ineh manages to pry Estrella off the floor and carries her upstairs with Scurra, where they spend two hours together while Illuamor waits downstairs. Once they come back, Ineh removes Estrella's curse of magnatism and Illuamor forces his two companions out the door.
The Lost and Found are attacked by Dryads in a forest while trying to walk the safer route from Lighthorn to Luflion. Elvari is effectively "high" during this encounter from drinking Charlotte's half-Fae blood. It is also here that the party finds Flower entangled upside down in grasping vines created by the Dryads. Flower joins the party after the group helps them.
Illuamor and Estrella manage to find Tadashi and returns to the rest of the party on a Slugknee along with Scurra. Scurra is introduced to the rest of the party as a random clown who isn't meant to join them at all. The party enters the main government building of Glantry that holds the Assembly of the Sixteen Territories of the Lolos Republic. The 16 are not at all impressed with the party and can't believe they're supposed to be the heroes meant to spy on the Elysian Empire for them. The party starts to split and points out that Illuamor murdered a man, causing the Assembly to burst into a massive arguement over whether they were truly sent by Amarus.
The Assembly of the Lolos Republic has a place prepared for The Republic Group to stay while waiting for the Transporter who can take them to the Empire, which happens to a tailor shop known as Arist-o-cut Tailors built into a mansion. They are let in by a half-Fae servant named Erendial and meet Canvas, one of the three siblings living in the mansion as well as the shop's tailor/cobbler.
The Lost and Found returns to the town of Lighthorn after their battle with the Dryads in order to try and find an explanation for what happened, and to find a guide through the area.
The Lost and Found meet Luran, a botanist/horticulturalist who has been studying a very recent plague effecting plants across the Summer Fae Court. Luran offers to go with the party and lead them to the capital of the Summer Court if they go with him through the Wicked Elm Woodlands and figure out what is wrong with the forest. He joins the party from then on.
The Lost and Found enter the Wicked Elm Woodlands. After walking for hours, they are attacked by a pair of Enchanted Shrubs and a Violet Fungus. The forest is obviously sick and seemingly cursed or diseased by something.
The Lost and Found are attacked by Ettercaps that have taken over and contaminated the Wicked Elm Woodlands. They manage to defeat the creatures, but only after Jade is scarred on her back from one of their attacks.
After the Lost and Found destroy a nest of Giant Spiders kept by the Ettercaps by burning them alive, Luran gathers up the fire and spreads it across the forest--completely burning down the Wicked Elm Woodlands. Luran cries as he hears the last screams of the Dryads who were trapped and unable to be freed from the Ettercaps' webs and their plague that had infected them. He explains that burning down the entire forest was the only way to salvage the land and keep the Ettercaps from spreading any further. Elvari finds a potion and an Immovable Rod in the rubble. He also leaves an offering to Awinasin, the God of Nature, who makes a flower appear.
Elvari is summoned by Soren so that he can tell him about how the Empire Group has found the first piece of the Crown of Truth. Alethe is accidentally summoned with Elvari and confuses Soren greatly. Soren ends up telling Elvari that Alethe's memories seem to have been tampered with by a god and to be wary of them. Afterwards, Soren drops them back off with the rest of the party before they enter Luflion.
The Lost and Found arrives in Luflion after burning down the Wicked Elm Woodlands. The party decides to get some food and sleep. Luran gets drunk for the first time while trying to deal with his emotions and accidentally strikes a sketchy deal with the town's mayor while in his drunken state.
The Lost and Found meets John the dragonborn in Luflion while eating bread and opening a bottle of Dragon's Breath Whiskey in the town's park area. He ends up following along with the party.
It takes five hours for the Empire Group's airship to reach the town of Salonac after leaving Dryfang Station. Once docked outside of the town, Doc has the party and ten of the airship crew split up to buy ten days worth of supplies for their journey to Elysia. It is here that Doc meets a baker named Galius who offers to make him enough pies to feed the entire crew.
Ivan walks into the house of Vina Abrilius, a local sage who studies divination and astrology for fun. After practically terrifying her, Ivan uses the Emperor's name to buy a magical staff from her that he immediately spends four hours attuning to. Doc manages to find Ivan and tries to give the staff back to Vina after admitting that Ivan lied about the Emperor paying for it, but feels some sort of curse coming from the object. Doc ends up breaking the staff across his knee, which causes Ivan's back to snap and kill him once again. His soul regathers in what appears to be a tailor shop somewhere, but he is quickly killed once more by an unknown perpetrator. Ivan then wakes up back on the Empire Group's airship.
Doc talks to Ivan privately about how he's been lying, stealing, and endagering people on their journey, as well as not following his orders. Ivan says that he doesn't take orders from anyone, to which Doc threatens to no longer bring Ivan along on the journey any longer. Ivan says if they don't take him on the mission, he'll bring the entire mission down, and starts to melt the airship. Atlas sneaks in and shoots Ivan with a tranquilizer dart, knocking him unconcious. Doc then ties Ivan up and shoves the Ring of Mindshielding he got back in Ledon onto his finger. Doc and Atlas then begin to beat Ivan to death. Once his soul is trapped inside the ring, Doc puts it on and is possessed by Ivan until Leo gets the ring off him. Unfortunately, while Doc was still possessed by Ivan, he gave Merlin his pocket watch. Merlin succumbs from the pocket watch's curse, which allows him to see a small white rabbit that speaks to him.
Illuamor, Estrella, and Scurra leave dinner with Canvas and the others after Estrella sees that Erendial has a dagger hidden under his clothes. The three meet in Estrella's room and they send a Mushroom Sprite summoned by Illuamor to explore the mansion for them. The Mushroom Sprite is knocked out by someone and is unable to remember anything it saw when Illuamor and the others try to get it to lead them around. They find Tadashi drugged by pastries Erendial made that he stole from the kitchen. During their exploration, Scurra is suddenly grabbed by something and disappears without Estrella or Illuamor noticing. Scurra wakes up tied to a bed by Erendial, who reveals himself as the culprit behind everything. Erendial says he needed Scurra out of the way so he can get Illuamor and Inu.
After Illuamor and Estrella find a portal hidden inside of the mansion, Illuamor sticks his head through and is pulled inside by a beautiful woman. He begins to see visions of a woman he once loved in his arms and begins to mourn her--until she runs a sword through his chest. The vision morphs into his research lab burning down around him while the woman laughs. She says that he was a fool for trusting anyone and that she's coming for him. Yivanny, the Goddess of Dreams, intercepts the vision and tells Illuamor not to loose hope or faith in others. Illuamor pulls back into his suspicious, distrustful thoughts until Yivanny snaps her fingers and sends him back to the room with Estrella.
While still strapped to the bed Erendial left him on, Scurra recieves a vision from Yivanny, the Goddess of Dreams, of his old clown troupe at the Colosseum. His troupe is obviously older, and in the arena is a red haired gladiator with one eye tearing down his opponents. Yivanny tells Scurra to find the gladiator along with the rest of his party in the Empire, and the rest will follow.
While trying to find the source of humanoid blood splattered all over the hallway of the upstairs mansion owned buy Canvas's father; Inu, Syn, Ie, and Gelure find the corpse of a dog laying on the dining table. Inside the corpse is a crystal with a programmed message that said the "experiement failed" and they were coming for the real thing (likely Inu). Afterward, they found Estrella and Illuamor next door and realized Scurra was missing.
The Republic Group discovers a hidden trapdoor in the attic that lead to what they realized must be Erendriel's room. Inside, Illuamor finds a silver candlestick with a royal crest from Nyxvanus on there, Gelure finds a flying parasol, Estrella picks up a crystal prism that can see into the Feywild, and Inu finds a potion of the third eye. It isn't long before they stumble onto Scurra--who's passed out and tied to Erendriel's bed. Once they get him free and Estrella ties him to her back, they feel the entire mansion shake.
After finding Scurra and feeling the entire building shake, the Republic Group rushes downstairs to try and leave the mansion, only to be stopped by Mutated Bonemorphs climbing up the stairs. The Bonemorphs are twisted and unlike any that Illuamor ever studied. They focus on trying to attack Illuamor and Inu so they can drag them off with them, but the party manages to kill them along with the help of the Transporter they were waiting for showing up just in time: Nicu. One of the Bonemorphs also tells Illuamor "She's coming" repeatedly, despite Bonemorphs being unable to talk.
Once the Mutated Bonemorphs are defeated, the Republic Group continues on their journey to the Elysian Empire along with Canvas. Canvas leaves with them in order to learn more about fashion design and to start up his own independant store in the Empire. Nicu teleports everyone to the Winter Fae Court, which they'll have to cross to reach the Empire, which infurates Gelure. Nicu explains why the Winter Court hates humans.
The Lost and Found kills a swarm of rats in the sewers of Luflion that turns out to be the pets of a kobold name Snasuh, who relocated to the town's sewer system after the Wicked Elm Woodlands burned down. The group offers to take Snasuh with them until they can find him a new home.
After arriving in the Winter Fae Court, the Republic Group wonders through the snowy forest land while following tracks left by a deer. Syn spots a group of wolves, berries scattered on the ground, and a hunting trap next to a river while tracking the deer. They eventually find a rock ledge with steps carved into them. Scurra and Illuamor are attacked from the forest shadows until another person stops the bowman. The two introduce themselves as brothers named Juoksa and Ante. Juoksa apologizes for his younger brother shooting at them, as he has a hatred for humans (Syn) and the party had been approaching the place where they leave offerings for their ancestors. Juoksa offers them shelter at their village, and the party accepts. Outside of the village, the party notices a black crow with golden eyes watching them before flying away.
After Soren drops Alethe and Elvari back on top of The Lost and Found, everyone introduces them to Snahsu. They decide to get more food, clothes, and stop at the blacksmith (where Alethe causes problems and gets the Net of the Moth Catching Champion, while Charlotte gets a Warhammer of Voltage). Elvari, Luran, and some of the others go to the tavern, where Luran confirms that Elvari is a vampire from another plane of existence. Luran explains that the Feywild seems to be combining with the Feydark, and he doesn't know why. After hours have passed, they reunite with Andrew and the others and leave Luflion for Sunclove.
The Lost and Found set up camp at the first rest stop on the way to the next town (it takes 20 hours to get there, and they would have had to stop 5 times. So with this being the 1st rest stop, it took 4 hours to get there). Elvari and Alethe got there first after a flying race, and the others arrived later on foot. Elvari finds a massive stone hand sticking out of the ground after he climbed a tree. Something hits his head that he swats off, and it turns out to be a Baby Moth Faunus whose wings are injured from the fall. Luran explains that the stone hand is one of the remains of gargantuan warriors created by the gods in a war against the two sides of the gods. The gods eventually became allies and rose up to fight against the Primordials eons ago. Ever since, they have worked together. Luran notices a lot of scratches on one side of the hand, and near it is an engraved ivory flute and two iron rings linked on a fine chain. The ivory flute causes people to dance to a Summer Fae Court song, the rings are a Ring of Invisibility and a Ring of Telekinesis.
Doc destroys Ivan's cursed pocket watch after rabbit Ivan causes problems between Doc, Merlin, Lexus, and Leo. Doc and Ivan's soul are sucked into a pocket dimension where they see a young man in a wheelchair talking to himself. Time reverses, spins forward, and resets repeatedly before they meet Malborh, the God of Time--one of the creators of this universe. Malborh explains that they originally gave the watch to a "very special mortal" and is angered that it was destroyed. They punish Ivan by banishing him from this universe, along with all of his items, so he can never return to this reality. Malborh states that perhaps they must have a hand in the fight for the Crown of Truth, in order to keep anymore troublesome "creatures" such as Ivan from causing chaos in their universe. Afterwards, Doc is returned to the Mortal Plane on the airship.
The Empire Group docks at Istrus, the City of Flight, in order to buy a new airship. They leave the skybarge they rented from the Florium Trade Guild here to be returned, and run into a half-Fae named Scarlet who can only speak in broken Common, as well as his fox friend named Radigan. Merlin also declares that he is too old to continue traveling with the party and leaves. Everyone meets the heads of the Enhancer Guild of Istrus. It is here that they buy a gargantuan military-grade airship
On their way through the mountains to Nyxvanus, Scurra becomes separated from the party. He spots the same crow from the day before trying to help him and grabs it. While the rest of the party takes shelter in a cave, Syn and Ie head out to find Scurra. They end up having to build a temporary hut during another snow storm, causing Nicu to find Scurra first. He remarks that at least Scurra will be good for emotionally damaging the others after he kills them, but that Scurra doesn't deserve to know who he really is. The crow Scurra catches transforms into a humanoid form with a rapier named Olir (God of Winter) and challenges Nicu. Olir defeats Nicu right as Syn appears, but remarks that Nicu will return.
After sleeping for over a day (not realizing Sleep had been cast on them), The Lost and Found wake up to Elvari and the baby Moth Faunus missing from their campsite. They go searching for him after following a will-o-the-wisp.
While searching the forest for Elvari and the missing baby Moth Faunus, The Lost and Found follow a will-o-the-wisp into a portal to the Feydark. They wander through a tunnel of Delusion Flowers, upside down forests growing inside of caverns, glowing fish, and a massive cave full of Primal Mud with a waterfall. Luran pulls a boat from his Bag of Holding that takes them across the Primal Mud to a Wonder Arch of mushrooms. On the arch is a crow they were searching for (after it stole a gold coin with Elvari's trace on it) that Andrew uses Speak With Animals on, and realizes its thoughts are much more complex than a normal crow's. The crow mentions that he has been watching over them and "the other groups." After passing through the Wonder Arch, they are taken to the Unseelie Midnight Court ruled by Nightfell Aldercrown.
After entering the Unseelie Midnight Court, The Lost and Found finds the baby Moth Faunus had been taken by them from his mother. They meet a dhampyr named Nicu who shows great interest in Alethe, and admits that he had taken Elvari, who he calls his adopted "cousin." Nicu and King Nightfell Aldercrown have the party entertain the court by fighting corrupted Feywild monsters in exchange for a piece of the Crown of Truth and Elvari.
The Lost and Found fight monsters to entertain Nightfell Aldercrown and his Midnight Court in return for Elvari and a piece of the Crown of Truth. They are forced to battle a Bulette, Feywild Hippogriff, a corrupted Stag Centaur, and an angered Actaeon. Elvari manages to leave the room Nicu was keeping him in and joins the fight along with Grimshaw halfway through. The creatures increased in difficulty as the rounds go on, but the party managed to win.
Elvari wakes up in a very fancy room within the Feydark after being abducted by Nicu. Nicu tries to threaten Elvari into telling him what Soren wants to do with the Crown of Truth, but realizes Elvari has no valuable information. Nicu summons a Bone Devil to knock him out and starts thinking about how he could torture Elvari in a way that would hurt Soren the most. Grimshaw appears right before he can, and the two get into a fight until Nicu decides to leave. Grimshaw gives Elvari a health potion so he wakes up before going back to his work as the God of Death.
After the fighting was over, Nightfell clapped for the party and threw them his piece of the Crown of Truth. Andrew grabbed the piece and became possessed by the crown's curse of greed. Elvari asked Luran to use his Transporter/Summoner magic to telepathically ask Soren about what they should do. Soren told them Flower would know how to fix what's wrong with Andrew. While they were living in the Celestial Court, Flower heard about the curse placed on the Crown of Truth. Flower quickly used Remove Curse on Andrew. Elvari has Soren teleport him to The World In-Between and asks him to keep the piece of the crown there. Elvari then told him about Nicu. Soren sighed and explained that Nicu is actually Ojordaal, the God of War--the very same god he thought he had sense on Alethe.
After two days of helping Panthea and Olus's crew finish their airship, the Empire Group leaves the city and heads toward Elysia once again. During the two days, Panthea and Olus taught Doc and Leo how to create Eldritch Cannons, while Doc helps Panthea finally figure out how to finish her odd homonculus.
The Lost and Found are sent back to the Summer Fae Court by Nightfell Aldercrown. They were gone for approximately a day from the Summer Fae Court due to time differences between planes and when teleporting. They arrive not too far from the town of Woodcliff.
The Empire Group sees a group of Scorpionfolk Faunus half-stuck in the desert on the way to Elysia right after a sandstorm. After approaching them, they discover a massive swarm of Death Scarab Beetles: Scarabs that have become necrotic monsters after eating undead flesh. They feast on human flesh and are usually around when Liches are. After dealing with the swarm, the Scorpionfolk give them gifts and explain their worries: a strange disease has been spreading through the Decaying Frontier, more undead are appearing, etc. Then, the party continue on their way to Elysia.
The Empire Group arrives in Portus, the harbor district of the city of Elysia. On the way there, Doc made sure none of the crew would bring water to Scarlet (since it's like acid to him). Doc also started learning some basic/beginner Elvish from Lexus, who he discovered is a warlock who accidentally sold his soul to the God of Wisdom, Bymos, as a child. After studying with Lexus, Doc and Leo construct a Homunculus Servant inside of a Homunculus Servant to keep their piece of the Crown of Truth inside of. Doc fuses it to his armor and keeps it inside of it for extra protection.
Lucius asks to join the search for Cassia since he is worried about her as a "childhood friend." He also knows Atlas is the one who assassinated Titus's wife, but asks Doc and Leo not to let him know because he finds it amusing to mess with him. The party splits into 3 groups: 1. Atlas, Lexus, and Doc (The Greatest Circus). 2. Scarlet and Leo (The Temple of Peace). 3. Chad and Lucius (taverns, etc.).
The Empire Group meets Lucius for the first time (during the campaign) in Portus. He is working as a Courier delivering a letter from Emperor Titus complaining about reports of lots of money being spent in his name because of Ivan. Doc reports that Ivan has been executed. Atlas tells Lucius to send a letter to Titus from him that his "old friend" misses him.
Scarlet and Leo adopt a flock of geese, ducks, and peacocks from the Temple of Peace. Scarlet also leaves an offering of gold for the Goddess of Peace on her altar. The offering disappears and is replaced with a trinket despite no one having heard of or received any response from the goddess in over 500 years. The trinket turns out to be a Figurine of Wonderous Power (Horse). Leo and Scarlet then ask the geese to find Cassia, and they end up leading them to the Colosseum. They end up buying admission for the fight between Astar and Adonis the next day, as well as sign up for one-on-one fights for the day after. Atlas cut his hair and changed his armor right before they signed up for the Colosseum fights. Lucius mentions a tavern called the Wicked Wench where they can stay for the night. On the way there, they see an unfinished painting of Adonis surrounded by mythical creatures.
In The Wicked Wench tavern, Atlas overhears rumors about an artist named Rica Falco taking on her first apprentice who supposedly appeared out of who-knows-where and begged her to accept them after spending days outside of her house. Scarlet and Atlas end up causing a small conflict in the tavern with the men gossiping. Atlas believes that the apprentice must be the missing princess. Atlas takes his tavern room key and returns to his room before the others leave.
Two famous gladiators, Astar and Adonis, face off in the Colosseum as the Empire Group watches. Before the fight, someone in the audience mentions a clown named Scurra who had some of the best performances in the Colosseum. In an odd twist, Adonis throws down his sword to have Astar kill him, but Astar asks the crowd if he should kill such an honorable warrior. A feminine voice yells from the top of the audience "LET ADONIS GO!" When Lucius and the others look up, they realize the voice must be Cassia in disguise. The crowd goes wild as Adonis is spared and Astar declares them brothers in arms. Doc loses sight of Cassia in the crowd. Scarlet uses the broken glasses she left behind to teleport them to her location: outside of artist Rica Falco's home (Vinusio's Studio).
After teleporting to Rica Falco's house and being let inside by her father when Doc claims he wants to be taken on as an apprentice, the two admire some of the paintings. They see some wall paintings by Cassia--one being a 360 panorama of the Legend of the Crown of Truth. It reminds them of the painting of Adonis they saw the day before. After a while, Scarlet overhears two people arguing upstairs. Doc recognizes one of the voices as Lucius, and says he must be talking to Cassia. When Cassia cries, Scarlet teleports up and starts to fight Lucius until Doc stops him. Doc drops his disguise and tells Cassia she's not alone after Lucius tells her she's being a coward for running away from the truth of what her father has done. Lucius reveals that Crown Prince Drago, who was supposed to be killed 20 years ago, is actually living as the gladiator Adonis.
The Empire Group meets up at the Colosseum to volunteer as fighters for the day. Atlas has his new armor color and haircut beforehand. Afterward, they search for a shop that sells magic items. While looking, they pass a theatre with ripped posters that mention a playwright nicknamed "Shakescurra." The actors on the posters are dressed in ogre and donkey costumes. Eventually, they find a magic shop called The Exigent Emporium.
Leo is are accidentally sucked into a "glitch"--a tear in the Plane of Dreams and the Modern Plane that are repeatedly colliding and ripping due to an unknown phenomenon happening to the time stream. He was able to come back due to Scarlet teleporting to save him.
