Lewin Woodward is the Briar of Molisloth. He is a 50-year-old Human appointed by the King of Lesser Imesse Mak II himself. He has been tasked by the King to create a town where a campaign of pacification and settlement can be conducted from safety, and he is passionately dedicated to doing just that.

Personal history
Lewin grew up near the town, and worked for years as a timberman, harvesting hardwoods from the edges of the Teboba forests. Being an inherently dangerous place to work, Lewin became a particularly competent swordsman and archer, and his men came to trust his instincts and skills implicitly. He became so renowned for his ability to successfully harvest timber from the deadly forests that the King took notice and implemented the plan to encourage the pacification of the area by enterprising and daring individuals and groups and chose Lewin to lead the effort as Briar of Molisloth.
