Arcalazaronath the Gold

Arcalazaronath the Gold (known in his Human form as Arcalos Goldbeard) is an ancient Gold Dragon. He is a great believer in fate, prophecy, honor, and nobility. As a result, he has often helped shepherd various bloodlines, keeping them safe so that those of that house could live to rise to their full potential and embrace their destinies.
He has appeared many times through the history of Summerlund, although few know that Arcalos (who appears as a doddering old Wizard at most times) is also the mighty dragon. He only reveals himself when he considers it important or wishes to emphasize the seriousness of a situation or to prove his honesty.
Some 300-400 years ago, he was known as a friend to the Tarmoore family. He secretly worked as an advisor to them, manipulating things behind the scenes to protect them from the power of Adala Tarmoore, the Witch Queen. After the death of Varwyn Tarmoore at her hands, he helped to keep the birth of Varwyn’s second son, Dalwyn, a secret, even from the baby’s older brother, Caudus. When Caudus died, it was assumed there were no more Tarmoores, and Landyn Kassryx reluctantly assumed control of Summerlund.
Recently, when the newly freed Witch Queen revealed that Tristan Holdfast was, in fact, a lost Tarmoore heir, Arcalazaronath came forth to verify his identity. What his actions will be from here remains to be seen.
