The Empire of Tundrusk

Structure

Tundrusk’s government is a monarchy which passes rule through hereditary means. The military heavily influences the government and vice versa. The government is stable and is fairly free of corruption.   The Emperor:   The Emperor of Tundrusk is the ceremonial figurehead and military leader of Tundrusk. This political spot is often passed down through direct inheritance from father to child. The holder of this position is the main lawmaker, leader, and general of Tundrusk. He has the ability to pass and approve laws as they may see fit and the High Consulate has the power to oversee the lawmaking process and veto any laws they deem to be unjust. However, since the High Consulate is appointed by the Emperor after a vote from the regional consuls, they are often under great influence and pressure from the emperor to align in his favor. The corruption present in this system undermines the major role of the High Consulate in matters other than important judicial cases.

Culture

Tundruskan people value strength, honor, and courage in the face of danger. This does not have to be purely physical strength, but can be through knowledge or mental strength.

Public Agenda

The current agenda of the Empire is to stop the Obohr rebellion in order to once more impose their rule on the people of the Obohrlansk region.

Demography and Population

The people of Tundrusk are diverse and inhabit many walks of life. From hardened mercenaries to gnome artisans, a number of people can be found in Tundrusk. Certain races are more prevalent, with Humans and Elves making up a majority of the country’s residents.   Around 34.5 Million denizens reside in the lands owned by Tundrusk and it’s emperor. Most people live in rural communities in the Southern empire but there is a significant amount of city dwellers on the Northern Coast. The people of Tundrusk are fairly educated in the cities, but rural residents tend to be uneducated. This is due to a large number of academies founded in Tundrusk after the Great Rift War as many were placed in large urban areas.   The people of Tundrusk live an average of 136.7 Years, the large amount of elves that live in this land have skewed the number.

Military

Tundrusk’s military has always been the pride of the nation. Run by the emperor, the military is responsible for the security of the nation from crime, rival factions, and the dangers in the Red Peaks. After the independence movement of Obohrlansk, Tundrusk no longer has a connection to the Red Peaks, but fights a ground war with the Obohrlansk people.   Tundrusk’s military is powerful and well-funded. Non-militia units are often equipped with plate armor and well-balanced swords. The military is mostly land based, favoring large units of armored warriors supported by artillery. Most men in the Tundruskan army are volunteers. Those who aren’t are either criminals or conscripts placed in militia units during times of war. The main use of Tundrusk’s current military is conquest and combat against the nations of the Obohr Revolt.

Religion

Tundruskan people believe in a pantheon of gods each pertaining to a certain field of worship. The focus of the religion is bettering oneself in life to reach a better afterlife. Most people celebrate their gods through public prayers. This religion is prevalent in most Tundruskans, but Elves and Triaxians believe in their own pantheons.

Foreign Relations

Foreign relations are typically positive other than the war against the Obohr rebels and the tenuous truce between the Empire and the Orxian Caliphate.

Peace, justice, progress.
