Brass Dragon

Brass dragons, although being weaker than many other types of dragons, are nonetheless formidable creatures. They have a strong mercenary streak and will frequently consent to serve as guardians or combat champions for those who pay them generously.   The brass dragon has a distinct physical appearance. Its spread wings, which are connected to its body all the way to the tip of its tail, make a triangle shape when viewed from below. The wings are the longest at the shoulder and gradually taper to the tail. The scales of these creatures appear to emit heat and light.  They have a strong odor of hot, oiled metal.   The eggs of the brass dragon must be nurtured in an open flame nest. The incubation period is about 480 days. Both parents are usually in charge of the eggs so that they can converse while keeping vigil. The look of a newly hatched brass wyrmling is unremarkable; its scales are a drab brown. As the dragon grows older, its scales become lighter and more dazzling. Brass wyrmlings are more likely than any other sentient species' offspring to learn to speak. They talk continuously about anything and everything, and they'll talk to anyone: friends, relatives, enemies, little creatures who can't respond, or even themselves if no one else is around. A brass wyrmling will generally become proficient in a new language in less than an hour after being introduced to it. They are more frail than other dragons, while having a highly lethal breath weapon. As a result, tiny groups of sentient animals, such as nomadic Dragonborn tribes, form partnerships with them.   A brass dragon's passion for fire grows alongside its love of speaking as it ages. They are enthralled by the beauty of blazing flames and can look at them for hours. Older brass dragons frequently get disillusioned with the world, feeling that it is being ruined by outsiders. However, as they get older, they appear to accept the world's follies and may even donate part of their riches to a worthwhile cause.   The brass dragon likes making its home inside a spire or a desert peak. They also like to face their lairs eastwards, where the rising light will warm it for the most of the day. The lair of a brass dragon is well-built and fairly large, with numerous twisting passageways and dead ends to confound and repel hostile invaders. The Grand Conversation Hall is the focal point of any brass dragon's lair, where it spends the most of its time entertaining friends and guests. An exquisite entrance, a gallery for the dragon's collection of artwork, a sleeping chamber, and a storage room are all common features of a lair.
