Copper Dragon

Copper dragons are the second weakest of the metallic dragons. They're born jokesters and pranksters, making them a favorite species of Camue the Jester. They are cunning and deceptive, yet their intentions are pure. They are not out to kill 'lesser' species, but rather to impress them with their superior knowledge and wit, as well as to deceive them with cunning tricks.   The copper dragon is visually stunning, with warm copper scales that are tinted with blue. The copper dragon's wings link to its body all the way to the tip of its tail, much like the brass dragon's. However, instead of the brass dragon's triangular look, its wings have a noticeable bend to them, giving them the appearance of a "V" from below. Copper dragons have huge thigh and shoulder muscles, making them excellent jumpers and climbers. They can also feature a unique frill on either side of their jaw. The teeth are totally concealed when the mouth is closed. They have a rocky odor to them.   Copper dragon eggs are laid in a cold sand or clay nest. Both parents look after the eggs and rear the wyrmling until it reaches adulthood, at which point they split up. A copper wyrmling's scales are a murky brown hue when it first hatches, but as it develops, they turn a brilliant copper color. Adult copper dragons are gregarious, owing to their propensity to play pranks on one another. A visitor to a copper dragon's cave may expect to be amused for a long time, however the dragon will grow enraged if the visitor is not pleased by the dragon's pranks, riddles, or stories.   A cave is a classic copper dragon's lair, with the entrance hidden by rocks and stones. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a massive maze of tunnels. Copper dragons compete to see who can come up with the most perplexing arrangement. If a nice guest becomes terribly lost (which happens all the time), the copper dragon will come to their rescue before they become endangered. Visitors emerge from the labyrinth into a large lobby, which leads to the main entertaining chamber, where the dragon will spend the most of its time. A far more easy escape tube opens off this chamber, although its outside entrance is frequently fiendishly difficult to discover even when one knows precisely where it is. The copper dragon, on the other hand, is well aware of this and frequently utilizes its 'back door' to enter its cave rather than navigating the maze. Obviously, if a guest can locate the secret entrance, it is considerably simpler for them to enter, but doing so is considered rude, especially if they are a first-time visitor.   Copper dragons like to avoid confrontation if possible. They prefer to mock, humiliate, and torment their opponents until they give up and flee rather than fight openly. Their ability to significantly impede opponents allows them plenty of time to flee. A copper dragon, on the other hand, will battle to the death if forced, and is a cunning adversary. It's not a good idea to take their acid breath lightly.
