White Dragon
White dragons are the most vulnerable and barbarous of the chromatic dragons. They are nonetheless powerful enough to overpower most poor souls they encounter and they have good long-term memories, despite being smaller than other dragons. Their heads and necks merge into one another, and the edges of their wings are ragged. Under their chins is often a flap of skin laced with spines. They emit a sharp, chemical-like odor. To incubate, white dragon eggs must be buried in snow or encased in ice. Although they deposit the eggs near their lairs, the parents do not care for or protect them in any manner.
The scales of a freshly hatched white wyrmling are transparent, but as the dragon develops, they turn white. Although some white dragon parents may allow their offspring to reside in their lair for a time, they are expected to survive on their own after hatching.
Adult white dragons have a variety of skills that are well adapted to their preferred cold environment. They can easily scale ice cliffs, fly high and quickly, and swim extremely well. They like swimming in frigid water. Aquatic species make up a large part of their diet. White dragons are always hungry, and as they get older, they become more ferocious. Many whites have inferiority issues since they are the smallest and weakest of dragons. They take advantage of any opportunity to bully other species' such as giants and younger dragons.
Ice caverns carved into mountains are the chosen homes of white dragons. Their lairs are far larger than those of other chromatic dragons, with many more tunnels and chambers. A huge iceberg may be transformed into a floating lair by more powerful white dragons. Such lairs feature both an underwater and an open-air entrance.
In comparison to other dragons, white dragons are weak fighters, though their cold breath has the ability to solidify an opponent. They avoid fighting more powerful dragons, preferring instead to vent their anger on 'lesser' animals. Whites have exceptional memories and will track down people who have wronged them for as long as it takes.
