    Gaunt and manipulative ex-Clan Leader of the Thal'Ahd. He allied the Thal'Ahd with the Verani and turned them effectively into a group slavers. While this upset most of the clan, who felt this undercut their honour, fear over a reprisal from the Verani kept the clan in line. The party discovered that Chaiphut was a member of the Nethonris; known as a Dreamer, under the sway of a mysterious person known only as 'the Jaguar'

Itchy is the second eldest of his brood, and probably the most intelligent. He tends to stay out of most discussions, observing and making occasional sarcastic comments.

    A Bask Leader of the Thal'Ahd, who captured the party travelling in Thal'Ahd territory.  During the journey, the party came to believe that Quiaketh, although solemn, was decent and honourable, at odds with their understanding of the Thal'Ahd.  After Chaiphut was deposed, Quiaketh took over temporary leadership of the clan, and attempted to restore some of the Thal'Ahd's lost honour

    Member of the People's Resistance, Raeburn is an expert on Verani communications technology.

  • Raymond Bramford
    Raymond is a human trader, initially based in Pernor.  Initially he seemed greedy and cowardly; but after travelling for a while with him the party learned that he is desperately trying to set up enough of a trading company to take care of his parents after his father was thrown from his horse, severely injured and left unable to work.
  • Salazar Mercier
    Initially seeming to be a quiet and unobtrusive fisherman, he was revealed as a hidden Nethonris assassin who attempted to kill Ryoko
  • Scratchy
    Kenku scribe liberated from the Verani laboratory in Kanaalden Mort. His name sounds like a quill scraping across parchment. Scratchy is the eldest of his nestmates, and is the defacto leader of the group.

    One of the four Kenku scribes liberated from the Verani laboratory in Kanaalden Mort. His name sounds like the angry hiss of a snake. Snakey is the youngest of his nestmates. He is the most curious and fearless of the group.
