S:2 Unfortunate Firsts

by The Crimson Hero! Morrigan Maygal

The quite night was taking over the sky, Morrigan was happy to see her star again and be in the salty breeze. The row boat was filled to the brim with people and stuff they had found in the cave. Anaxa was concentrating on rowing, Orri would glimpse over at her now and then as she thought back to the last couple of hours. The battles were challenging and definitely made her stronger....but they were different. It wasn't so much all out battle with a rival and more "hey look these weak weird guys are doing something mean, we need to destroy them" kind of a battle. Her first fight with a cult was alright, but she didn't get to have her usual fun as a warrior. She looked back at Anaxa, the woman who kept barking orders as if this was a weird war story. Orri was not a tactician, her Mother was, but those lessons fell on deaf ears. The image of the "member" in Anaxa's hand as she scolded them came to Orri's mind and she quickly looked away from Anaxa. Going back to drawing in her sketchbook She sighed heavily which caused Zephyra to turn and pat her on the shoulder in comfort, handing her a small baklava. Morrigan ate it with joy and was suddenly hit with a warm and hairy weight in her lap. Wiping away the endless wet affection from her face to see her beloved Artemis excited to see her.

After climbing back onto the ship, Morrigan and Artemis made their way up to their crow's nest. The two had their own cabin, but it was filled to the brim with fabric and art supplies with a little space for Artemis to lie down and be comfy. Orri much preferred to be in high up spaces and closer to the night sky. She sketched her recent adventure while talking to Artemis as he dozed off cuddling beside her. Staring to the sky with a smile, "It will be soon when mom gives us a call, and I can tell them the crazy stuff in that cave AND that I have finally figured out my new move. My mastery of my ki is getting better and better!" She scratched Artemis on the head and he moved himself into her. "I can't wait to try it out and refine it! Who knows if Anaxa will like it, UUGH she was such a....such a.......ugh she was like Mother the whole time. Well except the part with the umm things." She erased a portion of her drawing, trying to get the face of Undine and the door to the tower just right. Looking back up to the stars, "Moms I'm the fated of the chariot! I hope you guys can meet the awesome warrior in my...soul? head?... whichever. She runs fast like me! I'll tell you when you contact me." Looking back to her puppy, "She might even be as fast as me AND you!"

A crash of metal hit the deck and it echoed up to the mast, "Whoa, Anaxa must be giving Hephy all that metal stuff." Mocking Anaxa's voice, "Why don't you all weigh yourselves down and use a shield." Returns to her voice, "Ha it was funny when Zephy made the shield float and move it in front of her. Maybe I can run and use it to slide like a sled...that would be so fun!" Orri leans over to look at the crazy mess on the deck as Hephane looked through the endless stuff they found. She softened her look, "She is fun to fight along side of though." She quickly went tense again, "HMMPH "squirrel dance" MAN! I spent all that time giving cool names to my styles and forms, just for it to be called squirrel dance. Maybe I can call it something else. Uncle ChuChu said it was cool!" She rolls back over and returns to her sketchbook, "Ok what am I going to call this new form I figured out. I have been trying to master it for so long so it has to be good. What do you think boy?" Artemis licks his paw and turns to lick Orri's cheek with a deep calm growl into a ruff. Orri considers this for a moment, "Yeah, I can add a blazing into that to match my style's name. I bet Alcaeus will be so excited to see it, maybe I can help him learn better ki control. It might be fun to combine all these forms with everyone else and we can do cool attacks together." Orri finishes up her visual summery of her adventure into the cave temple, leans back and smiles to the view of the sky and the funny noises Hephane makes down below. "Got an early start for training tomorrow, Goodnight Mother and Mom, goodnight my little Arty." She pets him to sleep and drifts off staring at the star. She snores and lets out, "mmm a fickle, the pickle you can fight..."
