S: 23 Maggots and Meria

by The Crimson Hero! Morrigan Maygal

More than two full compliments of crewman carried an endless array of spears, armors, and random things that the cut throat merchant Artemis would gain a good price for. Anaxa held nearly ten or so full plate and carried it through Vicki's mirror. Everyone made their way through after Artemis with Morrigan at the end of the line. She had thought that perhaps if everyone all went through maybe she could break through. As she confidently walked to the mirror she slammer her head right into the polished magical glass, she was forced to step backwards looking slightly disappointed but thank the gods she didn't anything important. She looked into the mirror, a little worried about her sweet puppy, until a large strong hand patted her shoulder, "Come on, let's train instead." Drake's words made her feel better and they nearly burned down the ship...again. Morrigan's energy starting to glow and burn a little hotter.

Sneaking past the blockade the Hive made their way to a giant well structure with a clay covering. Morrigan sat there watching in confusion as to how clay could keep some crazy powerful not able to die strong guy. It's just clay, even Zephyria could punch and break clay, Orri thought it seemed weird. "If this guy can't break through clay then how strong could he really be? It must be some silly magic thing then." She mused to herself. Jumping into the pipe the hive finds something more horrific and detestable than the worst day on the Scarlet Web. Maggots, decay, and endless insects filling the long sewer. Visibility was nearly zero as the bugs and decaying smells invaded their senses, "I wonder if my mom's ever experienced anything so gross..." Orri could barely concentrate with the living floor that moved around her boots that Gerry had made for her to match Orri's outfits. "Morrigan, can you start drawing a map if I get a better lay of the pipes?" Edea's voice broke through the disgust distracting Orri, "Wha...oh! Yeah ok." The map team began to lay out the dungeon as they made their way through, Morrigan drawing doodles and pipes as they made their way, until she caught a spike in her hand and threw it into a creature that looked just like Honeylicious. After a second of panic thinking she hurt her dear friend's companion Morrigan saw the swarms of weird spiky flying things and they took them down in typical flashy style.

The Admiral looked down at the deep chasm and could almost see something shiny, "Ayeee....treasure eh?" She said with a sinister tone, as Orri turned, "Admiral did you say something." Without a moments hesitation the Admiral pushed Morrigan off the bridge into the chasm. Morrigan giggled and enjoyed the fall landing softly on her feet next to a suit of armor with a skeleton in it, "Who sits there and meticulously puts a skeleton inside ar.......oh......duh. I guess this is what the Admiral wanted." Orri grabs the armor and runs up the wall of the chasm and up to the ceiling falling right back onto the bridge.

"I can kick ghosts!" "Orri they are wraiths...." The Hive was surrounded on all sides by an army of wraiths, everyone unable to fully damage them, until Morrigan's energy blazed around her hands and feet, and she could use her full force against them. "Wow they must be super exhausted when I fight them, because they just vanish when I hit them really hard." Thus the wraith slayer was born, yet another ridiculous title connected to this odd martial artist. Morrigan made her way through the battle field fighting these creatures that reminded her of home quite a bit, it was nice, upon clearing the area the Hive sound some magical seal on the wall and took their time searching the area....except Morrigan.

She stared at the wall with the magical glyphs and symbols, knowing that the Einherjiar was just behind it. A training partner that couldn't die, and was really strong, she thought about mentioning this to the rest, but knew they wouldn't understand where she was coming from. They would probably yell or something, "NO Orri, it's a servant of an EVIL god." Morrigan was never able to meet an actual Einhejiar and wanted so badly to fight him, her Mom talked about them a few times and how she had a few here and there. They couldn't die, but there was something else Orri's mom told her about them. It was really important, but the simple young woman just could not remember.

She looked at the glyphs thinking of her Moms and wondered for a moment why she hadn't told the others about them. Was it really necessary to keep the secret from the only three who don't know at this point. Would Edea be of with learning that Auntie Ish wasn't the nicest of people? She was kind and sweet most of the time, but when her and Mother got together in a room it was awful. "I only thought if everyone knew then what is my true love came along and only loved me for who my family is.....I've seen it in love stories before." She stood there thinking to herself out loud. Morrigan pondered it for a few seconds nodding that she should just let them know, "Zephy and Anaxa know..." Edea turned and looked at Orri, "Huh? Orri did you say something?" It seemed as good a time as any to lay it all out.
