A sweet, breezy, and salty Ignus morning near the coast of a large Silver Sea Island, a surge of energy bursts amongst a few trees. Three women stand there smiling at each other, the tallest and most imposing wraps an arm around the tearing up blonde beside her, "Oh Honey, come on brave face for our little girl." The blonde woman sighs and nudges her wife, "You shut your face, I'm going to miss my little Valkyrie!" A young Morrigan smiles and embraces her mom and wipes away her tears, "It's ok mom! Uncle Chuchu and Mother said I would meet lots of strong people and test myself against them!" Orri's Mom was not relieved at all by this, but knew too well that her sweet daughter was going to say it. She grabs Morrigan's face and say with some stern tone, "Sweety PLEASE, be as careful as you can. I'm so proud of how far you have come, but there are some really strong people out there...." She stopped speaking as she watched Orri's face grow with excitement, "Ugh...Mayvin speak some sense into your daughter!" The lavender haired woman chuckled and smiled, "It will be fine, SHE will be fine. She has so much potential, and she will do great things! don't worry." She turns to their daughter and smiles, "I have a special gift for you my little warrior." Mayvin places a hand on her daughters head and smiles, "Yeah? what is it Mother?!....food?" Orri's innocent tone makes Mayvin and Ereskagal laugh as divine energy builds into her palm and seems to swirl around the young martial artist and to slices weaveing in and out of her skin without leaving cuts. After a few seconds she lifts her hand away and smiles, "Not food honey, it's a special gift, I've severed you from the magical world!" Orri's Mom rounded on Mayvin and her eye twitched, "YOU WHAT?! Mayvin, that's....well...it might be an advantage in certain situations, BUT why didn't you speak to me beforehand. Now she can't be healed as easily." Mayvin smiles, "That's what salves are for, AND....if she takes out her opponents before they hurt her than she is fine." Ereskegal sighs and rubs her head, "Dear grandfather....you just made a little you....Honey...how is she going to use MY gift?!" She produces an ornate and stunning hand mirror that has the symbol of death on it. Mayvin looks at the mirror and gives a wincing smile, "Oh...alright, I get what you mean. Well how about we contact her at a set time? Like...every New Moon. Ok honey? on the night of the New Moon we will call you on the mirror, you know what the new moon is?" Morrigan stood there for an extra seconds of silence, "Umm yeah! I think so." Her mothers nodded and went with it. They said their tearful goodbyes, sharing a lengthy embrace and many forehead kisses, a bitter sweet family moment. Morrigan now set out to Gaia magically severed and holding a mirror she couldn't use.
Her journey spent leaving opponents and friends shocked that spells and items just didn't function around her. So the poor simpletons surprise when her dear friend Zephyria's magic passed through her mother's gift and forced her to speak. "Bippy boppity boo, Orri who do you love?" Orri saw no energy from the high elf's wand, but knew her natural magic defense would kick in. However, to her shock the spell seemed to hit her hard and her mind reeled as her mouth seemed desperate to scream the name, "DRAKE!" Her eyes widened and her hands slammed over her lips in shock and horror. Why.....why did she just yell his name? Surely....surely she didn't....no! The very idea was.....laughable? Her mind exploded with panic, "No no that's silly, of course the spell Zephy cast just made me say his name to tease me......that must be it." The doubt was heavy on her shoulders ever since Anaxa planted that seed, trying to gauge Drake's opinion of Orri herself, all that time ago. Months and months of spending so much time with the "Jerky jerk man" had taken their toll as well. He truly did, just wish her to reach the highest heights and loved training with her as much as she loved it. Oh god..she did love training with him, he was strong and she couldn't quite get the better of him, no matter how much she trained. it was exciting that he was always a step ahead, but also frustrating. She shakes those thoughts away, keeping a weakening grip on her resistance to these feelings, "NO! He is a stupid boy, with his not a romantic or emotional bone in his body, his jerky handsome face and big stupid muscles and incredible fighting skills and beautiful smile.....GODS he sucks....." She wrestled with these thoughts for days.
If not for the amazing reveal of Anaxa and her son, Orri would be lost entirely to her delusions. She jumped into her role as an aunt and Anaxa's big sister by staying by their side and helping take care of Anaprion. Morrigan could see how overwhelmed Anaxa was and did all she could to comfort her and help take care of her nephew. Surprising most of the others Orri was fairly competent at tending to the boy, she was soft and very gentle, due to spending a lifetime going easy on weaker opponents and having a soft spot for children. She could rush away and return with food or whatever the boy needed faster than the child even noticed she left, and could get on the child's level quite easily, with snickers about poor Orri's intelligence. She was eager and wanted nothing more than to help, and to also keep a slight distance from Drake....and his stupid handsome face...
"...stupid handsome....face....." This was getting worse, she couldn't shake these thoughts away as easily anymore, his demeanor she thought boorish, unromantic, and not capable of love...but maybe he was. Sparring with her and concerned with how she is progressing, his demeanor started to seem......endearing. Her stubborn tsundere towards him was melting away, and even that was frustrating. Her Mother's words ringing back to her, "Ugh..these damn books, Morrigan, sweetheart, love...REAL love, is different than these books. You may be surprised how different it is, ok?" Only now do those words make sense...or at least until Orri gets distracted again.
