-“To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.” Romance Novelist Gurt
-“Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable, and it like burns...for a really long time, like hundreds...no the next one...umm billiontheths?” Morrigan trying to explain love to Zephy and Anaxa
-“People who are sensible about love are incapable of it.” - Malachy
-“Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it… It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk anything, you risk even more.” -Mayvin Goddess of Love
The muzzle had a giant smile, tall pointed ears, and soulful dark eyes, his paws were enourmous and his fur so soft and a brilliant white. Morrigan's heart began to sing as if spring suddenly erupted into the air as the massive wolf turned into a gorgeous....."gentleman"? She watched as he transformed into a simple outfit with no shirt and no shoes, "Brother!" Orri heard her dear Edea cry out, a shocked and smitten look on the martial artist's face. Could this vision really be..him?! Morrigan mouthed the name "Konstantine" and looked at him, her mind raced with all the visions she had. She was swept away just a little....until something in the back of her mind tugged at her. She ignored the tug and waited for Edea to properly introduce them, Orri bracing herself for the beautiful and gentlemanly way she imagined this moment would go. He kissed her hand and mentioned her beauty, that tug in her brain ignored completely as the silly demi-human melted at his manner. His speed was mentioned and Orri went into challenge mode and they agreed to race once the trials were finished.
Knowing of love, of true love and how it can take strong roots is what Morrigan has seen in action, she grew up learning and seeing how true love can shatter the very bonds of fate itself and last through endless lifetimes, two immortal beings choosing true love above all else thought to find and bring a baby into their divine realm and let love grow in her heart as she watched her parents and their true love blossom. to Morrigan it was just her parents, showing how love truly lives on, in the little things from day to day. With the combination of the "perfect divine" couple and her mountain of romance novels the love crazed Orri was somewhat disillusioned about how love truly grew. Certainly not a true fool to what love becomes as she saw how her parents were, but very much a fool in how to achieve love and what partner would be perfect. The books that she was indulged to read by her aunts and mom gave her a skewed perspective on partners and being wooed, as it were. On many occasions the god of Love and Strength would approach her daughter, "Orri, sweetheart, love is different all over, it changes with the seasons, the time, and with lovers themselves. You need to evolve with the one you love....Listen my little warrior, love isn't going to be what you always expect, especially down there on Gaia....maybe your mom and Ninkasi indulged you a little too much with these romance novels..."
The voice resonated through the room as Morrigan poked and played with the strange magical cage she was in, "What is the name of the land your friend Edea comes from?" With her sketchbook in her hand and a disturbing amount of pages filled with what she had assumed was Edea and her dear Konstantine's surname, Orri answered the voice, "MAVROS LYKOS!" She said excitedly, seeing it in the flesh not a few weeks ago. The magical force field dissipated and Orri found herself confused, this didn't seem like the trials that her Uncle Sham would tell her about. Where was the judge and all the people that stand around and shout at each other? Prostitutes and those deafened ants, but this one seemed fun, and Anaxa had said there would be a fight. They walked through the halls and were greeted with a statue, punching stone seemed a fun fight.
The fight progressed with Morrigan's mind a little distracted with the days events, her friend's sibling revelation, the meeting of her "beloved" Konstantine....and this odd tugging at her mind. Jumping back and forth, a muffled voice in her memory, "You are just all distracted by these frivolous pursuits..." That tug from before connects with the voice of Drake. The constant image of Konstantine switches back and forth to Drake. "FOCUS" Drake's voice echoes in her mind, why was she even thinking about Drake, I mean it's crazy, he is just her training partner.....and nothing more, she barely gives him a second thought. Her mind gives him several second thoughts, she shakes her head and empties her mind and the fight is now in full view, much to Anaxa's appreciation.
After the fight Morrigan shakes her head again, the flames around her legs reminding her that she can finally show Drake that she figured out his technique.....she smiles slightly and her eyes go wide as she waves away the mental image, then as she looks at her legs she is reminded about the race with her Konstantine. They walk further and she muses to herself that Konstantine was not at all how she pictures in her head, was she disillusioned? Who knows, but the answers will be found out soon.....probably not by Morrigan.
