The memory jumped up and down as if begging for attention. Orri could see herself younger standing still, and a kind firm voice spoke down to her, "One last gift." The voice softly invaded her mind as the familiar bright light cascaded around her younger self and she was changed. She usually was reminded of this memory when she slathered herself in salve to treat a wound. This was a memory she thought of a lot today, the day of sweet blood it might be called. The 'gift' that the giver so called, closed off her circuits for any type of magic, elemental and especially healing. When something like mana, artes, and magic is so intertwined within Gaia everyday life, you can really notice when it's completely unavailable to you. Morrigan the Crimson Hero though, was not to bothered about it in the least. She made sure she could do without, anything she desperately needed to do she would work hard and use her very life force to do it!
Her mastery of her life force came in quite handy as the petrified ancient cookie came tumbling down toward the group. Her dedication to turning her body into a tool and a weapon has given her the incredible ability of speed. Within moments she can speed across great distances in seconds, and quickly kept herself well ahead of the speeding cookie and it's portals. The air rushed past her as she sped by her friends while they tried to dodge or destroy the rolling cookie. To her this was the best part of this crazy dungeon, the wind through her hair as she picked up speed letting the cookie get a little closer as she jumped and weaved past her friends...until Calliope made the cookie boulder explode and shrapnel came flying from front and behind smacking and slamming into the speeding demi human. This place was really making Orri go through her stash of salves to heal.
Ki and hard work was all the Captain of the Blazing Chariot needed, as well as a cornucopia of food regularly, and perhaps company, or even more important, a good challenge...Alright there were a lot of things this young and kind martial artist needed, but when it comes to getting over hurdles and solving problems, she would be sure to not need magic for anything, she had her wit and her ki!
Watching the seemingly endless fountain of blood coming from her mouth, she waited for the salve to take effect. Everything here still looked fairly tasty and she was getting rather hungry, it had been an hour or so since her last small meal. The door passed her and she quickly took a lick, what was the harm? Her tongue was sliced to ribbons and she did not seem to be healing, even with the salve filling her mouth. "What if I just eat it? no I'll gargle with the salve and it should be fine...it isn't stopping...wow there is a lot of blood!" She thought to herself. As her mouth became a waterfall of blood and salve, the others began to take notice, with her sudden wild movements she became a little panicked. "Just give her a potion!" Anaxa spurted to everyone, "That won't work! She is immune to magic! I'll have to actually tend to the wound." Zephyra said with annoyance as she approached Orri. "I saw you lick the door by the way..." She whispered to her demi human friend with a little giggle. She might have learned her lesson with the first door that she punched through and sliced up her forearm. Zephyra slowly tended to the stream of blood coming from Orri's and with a smile and a thank you, they moved on.
As irritating as it must have been for Zephyra to keep healing Orri without magic, she did snicker and smile each time. "I hope she doesn't feel responsible this keeps happening, she is so sweet to help me like this though. I'm happy we became friends." She thought to herself as Zephyra tried her best to close the careless teenagers wounds. Morrigan truly was happy she met "Zephy," she was kind and caring, has her secrets, but so did Orri so the fiery captain could not fault her on that. Plus this dungeon house of Zephyra's was proving to be a wonderful training ground. The obstacles and traps were really sending Morrigan through her paces, and each one was harder than the last. The last one they encountered was just an empty room, Orri had a quick idea of using her superior speed once more until she felt a weight on her back. It was a surprising light weight that had the hot reeking breath of the Captain, "Right, ye speedy mount let's make our way across fast!" The Captain had a similar idea as Orri and thought she could help the speedster along the way. Morrigan found that the added weight of the Captain did not hamper her speed, so she flashed off without hesitation across the floor, once her foot touched the ground inside the room the walls and ceiling began to move. Before Orri noticed them moving she was already across the room at the other door. Thinking it wasn't much of a challenge she grabbed the door knob and the door barely moved at all. She tugged at it a few times and thought the best thing to do was simply do it harder. Forgetting the Captain was on her back she summoned her energy in her torso and began to glow red and blue. The colours exploded around her and her hair turned more red as the aura became a torrent of movement toward the ceiling. Her muscles and limbs expanded and the tone of her body increased, which flexed hard as she pulled with all her might on the door. Even after her Crimson Ignition Drive transformation she still had trouble opening the door. Cracking it open nearly eight inches the team rushed through one by one, Orri was worried about Zephyra who could move as fast and was ready to run over and bring her through when magic served her better than Orri. Anaxa and DinoCaptain held the door from the other side as Orri jumped through with the rest.
The last room held two statues that Orri immediately started sketching, until she felt something off. Morrigan may miss a lot of things, but with people she cares about she doesn't. Zephyra was at a loss and visibly seemed distressed, after all the help she gives Orri. The demi human acted right away to attempt to comfort her dear friend. She wanted very much to understand her and do what she could to help. The best way to do that would be to get Zephyra at ease and make her comfortable enough to either tell them all what's wrong or get everyone to let it go and simply help the high elf. She cared about Zephyra so much that she would do whatever it takes to help, there was no better distraction that challenging a giant CakeMan.
