In the haze of after-combat
As the attack died down, we met one of the captains of Excellion's guard, a captain warforged. We told it what happened, and after later chasing down a shadowy figure (to no avail), we ended up back home in Castle Hornraven.
The next day, we (Steel included) went to the scheduled meeting with the council of Excellion.
The Council Meeting
Though Steel was present, the rest of the party did most of the talking (informing the council as to the success/failure of their mission).
Murg: the Keep of Ghastly Ages isn't worth the investment
The party:
fuck the Keep
Murg then mentioned M'Crush's name, who Arcadia hates (?) and has an unofficial ban on the name. So the group garnered only animosity from that.
Officially, Theo's group is "officially" disbanded (as their mission has come to an end). Everyone is left to their own devices, and most recently we've spoken to Theo's mentor Master Ormen. As far as the story is concerned, Murg is worried about the inquisitor Alexia Ducati (as a potential inside agent for the faceless enemy).
On our way back to the castle, we (Murg) stopped at the (High) Church of Abbadar.
Back at the castle
Theo (finally?) mentioned the fact that his estranged uncle lives in the attic. A thief and a liar, hated for the right reasons.
Inquisition
Theo's mentor Master Ormund called Theo (& co.), but when we arrived we were
ambushed by Inquisitor Alexia Ducati (who had ambushed Ormund as well).
A "mandate" of sorts; we don't have a choice. The inquisitor and her "Inquisitorium".
"I control you lives, from this moment onwards" -- Inquisitor Alexia
Alexia is giving us access to the Arcadian teleport network. She wants us to investigate several things:
- In Bezia an insurrection is on the rise, and there have been disappearances.
- The elvish Hallow Isles, where some political issue has taken a turn badly for Arcadia.
- Gianthome, the isle of giants, has some disappearances going as well.
Again, we have no choice in these matters.
And all I got was this lousy quiver of bolts...
We went shopping. Some things we bought, and others we crafted or improvised. Theo and I were up late into the evening hours, tinkering on the Claw and conversing in tabaxi. It was very nice.
