That evening Father Murg and Master Theo went to see Master Norman, the obsessive-compulsive wizard who instructed Theo in wizardry. Though Steel didn't accompany the pair, he was keen to hear about it after-the-fact from Murg. Theo ended up giving his mentor the (human) flesh-bound book we had recovered back in Veradin. There's talk of a very, very dark prophecy hidden behind several layers of cipher.
Master Theo mentioned our wizard ally M'Crush, to which Master Norman immediately silenced Theo: "Don't mention that name again, you hear?" It took a few tries, but Theo got the message. How bizarre...
Fr. Murg asked about "the sage". This, naturally, prompted a private conversation between the cleric and Theo's master, with Theo heading downstairs to check on Steel and Izol.
On war
There was some talk about war, and the decisions of each side. Both Murg and Steel asked Theo what he might do when confronted by the council: would he rebuild the Keep of Ghastly Ages, if asked? What price would he pay? It seems Master Theo, in the end, is on the side of the good, but only time will tell.
Steel's slowly becoming peeved as to how Master
Theo is treated as nobility, as compared to on his merit or to someone of lower social class like Steel.
The Oaken Haft
A dwarvish tavern in the dwarf district (of course), carved into a illusory mountain
Round 1
Murg vs. Kaltrius
A human rogue masquerading as an elf; he somehow smuggled a real weapon onto the battlefield.
After calling upon the divine, Murg commanded the rogue to kneel in desperation before taking a few choice blows. Kaltrius surrendered after that.
Izol vs. Icsothel
A dual-wielding lizardman
It wasn't even a fight; Izol removed Icsothel from combat without a second thought.
Steel vs. Attavar
Dwarf cleric who carries smite
The most even fight so far. Steel won.
Round 2
Steel vs. Izol
