Dark Crescent Flame Isles
Overview
The region known as the 'Dark Crescent Flame Isles' is an archipelago formed along the rim of an ancient volcano. Because of the effects of the last major eruption, the eastern rim of the volcano collapsed, giving the region its crescent appearance. Gol Agreyth is the main island, stretching out as a continent-sized moon-shaped tropical forest over steeply folded andesite mountains. Steam rising from active volcanism around the archipelago adds to the tropical climate of the region, making it very humid with daily showers and thunderstorms for most of the year.
