Personal history
Born in Borlun to travelling merchants Saddam spent much of his youth moving around the nearby villages flogging his father's wares and goods. As he came of age and began to seek his own future he enlisted with the Black Wolf Mercenary company and served alongside them for eight years in assorted conflicts around Teremia. While he had a natural pension for destruction with his hefty Morningstar Saddam quickly found his real interest was in the curing of wounds. Unfortunately he had little knowledge of this and began to instead follow assorted alchemical recipes he had observed or been told mixing them together into one 'cure-all' that he was certain would ease any worry.
This so called 'quack juice' became a staple of his healing capable of causing all manner of horrific side effects as it managed wounds. It was one application of this that led to the permanent blinding of an officer that saw the end of Saddam's mercenary career as he returned to his home region to begin spreading his cure as a travelling quack. Using his Morningstar now nicknamed the 'Quacker' to keep trouble away Saddam became a known entity in the surrounding region tending to wounds and occasionally aiding in scaring off bandits and other unwanted guests.
When war came to Eivurn Saddam was travelling between villages and soon joined the refugees heading to the capitol and enlisted in the army. A chance encounter with Merric, Kanuna and Raz saw Saddam joining their household guard and proudly announcing himself as the healer for the hosts' leaders.
