The Stonebreaker Family

Full of hardened Dwarven warriors and priests, the Stonebreakers hold an ancient claim to their seat of power in so far that the blood of the legendary magma dragon flows within their veins and gives them strength and power. While not everyone in the land still holds to the practices and believes of the magma dragon anymore, most of the Stonebreaker family holds onto it determinedly.

Structure

Like most of the royal families, the Stonebreaker leadership went to the oldest surviving son. If there was no male heir, it would then pass to the nearest male relative.

Culture

Many of the family and inhabitants are considered to be somewhat mad as a family and on the decline as a land. However, where this place holds much respect and ability is in their army. Their warriors are second to none and completely determined and obideaant. A company of Stonebreaker dwarves and completely turn the tide of a stalemated battle.

History

Lord D’hurdrek took power at the Rage of the gods in 2285 at the age of 82. He ruled until his death in 2512 at 310. He married Yelrounda the dwarf and fathered four children with her: Hubril, Yozzac, Werhomi and Dolthea. Finally he fathered a bastard, rumoredly with a fey wilds kitsune by the name of Kornead. All children were dwarven.   Lord Hubril took power in 2512 at 179. He ruled until his death in 2672 at 339. He married the dwarf Maelyn. Together they birthed four dwarven children: Darzanthea, Brarsean, Drumhi, and Durkina.   Lord Barsean took power after his father's death in 2672 and he was 170. He's married to the dwarf, Deline who died in 2692. She bore him one dwarven child: Arothal.

The Stonebreakers view the Ofeld orcs as primitive and undignified fighters, yet despite this, the Ofelds respect the battle skill of the Stonebreakers.

Beliefs

The Gasters and Stonebreakers often argue over their beliefs or lack thereof in the magma dragon and their daily rituals and practices.

The Dead/Violence

Due to the beliefs of the Stormbreakers, mostly that their dead should burn in the lava of the volcano, they hate the Collwells for breaking the traditions and damning the souls of their dead. The Collwells think the Stonebreakers are foolish and too prone to cause unnecessarily death.
