Zindra is a frozen world criss-crossed by an extensive networks of cracks in its ice shelf locally known as Runs. Its signature aurorae, as well as the freakish ice storms that frequently scour the surface, are most likely the result of an arcane imbalance in its parent star. Zindra holds astounding reserves of
Thaumium, which prompted the small-scale
Thaumium War between factions of the Coalition and Council. Ever since, Zindra is unequitably split in several sectors belonging to each of the major colonial powers.
In orbit around it are two space stations : the Boshaari
Murafell Prospect and the Hiderid
Sansar Yards. It was not well exploited due to its sheer distance from the Inner worlds until the
Hestian Rush enabled ships to make stop-overs at Hestia; once properly exploited, however, its supply of Thaumium ushered a new age of cheaper and more practical spacefaring.
The
arcanosphere of this world is very powerful - perhaps more so than that of the ancient Boshaari crownworld. The flows of arcane are intense and widespread, leading several
Spellweavers to build their shelters here, and to the widespread precipitation of
Shades
