The man known as Alec Riker first started to make his mark in Crescentian history when he and his friend Reuben Morales joined the Crescentian Imperial Legion to fight in the 3rd war against the Oreion Inquisition. His first assignment was to travel north into the harsh Brink Lands to quell barbarian uprisings the Oreions had supposedly stirred up.
After his commanding Legate was killed in the Brink Lands and the 3rd war between Oreion and Crescentia ended, Riker left the legion and travelled aimlessly along the Broken Coast. It was here that he formed the crew of his ship the Archeron, along with his first mate Pace Starset, and sailed off in search of treasure around Western Arkos. Pace and Riker developed a relationship, and both were quite happy with their life after the war, though this would not last. On an island near The Wound, Riker and his crew would stumble upon a treasure that would change Riker forever; the eye of Morag. In the eyes of Pace and his crew, Riker was willing to sacrifice them to obtain the yellow gem, and Pace led a mutiny against him. Pace managed to jam the Eye into Riker's own right eye, severely wounding him, but not before Riker cut off her left hand.
While Pace fled and eventually returned to Crescentia to form her own crew of the ship The Invincible, Riker made his way back to the broken coast and gathered many unhappy sailors, smugglers, and mercenaries together to form his own mercenary company: The Ravagers. Over his diverse career, Riker had amassed a large amount of manpower and resources, and The Companions briefly worked with Riker to free the seafolk city of Underlight from the control of an Aboleth. In truth, Riker originally hailed from the city as a Safraan of the Undersea Tribes.
Riker was present during the Battle of the New Dawn and left the city of Imperia after being saved by Kal'raan of the Companions. He was last seen in Velant's Sunfall Resort, passing time as a pit fighter.
