Ferrous Starreader

"The Wall" Ferrous Starreader

Inspired by the knight Fortis Illianna. Ferrous was the son of Desnians who came to the mainland. His name given to him in the hopes it would bring him strength. Ferrous did not directly learn the defensive abilities of Fortis. But after being saved by him as a child, Ferrous made it his mission to learn through observation, understanding why the knight didn’t want to teach him properly.   Unlike his inspiration, Ferrous is much more of an active and brash force of defense. Ready to run in at the drop of a hat to save someone. Not fully understanding the slow and thoughtful nature of Fortis, nor his ridged structure to keep himself hidden and to repeat old words to himself. But as he grew older, eventually Ferrous was able to join the Treddleton guard and observe Fortis up close and even learn from him. Though his brash and unruly nature lead to his separation from the guard. But not before he could take very careful notes of the true way Fortis protected others and replicating it all.

Personal history

A member of the second great expedition, Ferrous has acted as a shield-bearer and guard for the expedition in fortifying them against even the most devestating attacks, his growning history as a warrior continues to reach towards the status of eventually potentially becoming "Legend"   Following his time in the expedition, and the slaying of the Saltieunni god, Ferrous would engage in one more great trial of self. Trotting the mainland and joining in a party with the marksman Marrok, the child of heaven Dr. D, the Grand Smith Alexsander, the Warmaiden of the Elain, and The Time Thief Anise, he would find himself a part of a party that would slay a second god, that of slavery and binding people to their weakness.   The journey would be challenging, and Ferrous would have often found that as much as he enjoyed the joys and freedoms of challenging, the mainland was a brutal place, and even despite Alexsander's best efforts, when they would return to civilization, his armor would be cracked and weathered to a state near irreperable.   Only a brief vacation - long enough for Alexsander would separate Ferrous from his most cherished companion, yet once reuinited, a request of his master - to go claim his master's familial home of the Wishborne Hold would send Ferrous on another type of journey, one less trod by the feet, and instead by the mind, as he would reclaim it, and find in himself, a mentor and trainer of knights.
