Keeleon Artistry Society of Tarteria

The Keeleon Artistry Society of Tarteria, often shortened to "KAST", is a guild of artists and patrons that organize and participate in art shows. Though their name includes Tarteria, their efforts are focused almost exclusively in the Queendom of Keeleon.

Description

Artistic culture in Keeleon is focused in the south and along the Orc Highway where the mingling cultures have great influence on the citizenry. New orcish art that comes from this is focused on the tenacity and resilience of orcs and the historical figures that have led this fight.   With the influence of outside interests in Tarteria, there is a growing demand for art pieces for export to other places in Azimuth. To facilitate this, an informal grouping of patrons and artists formed to promote orcish crafts.   KAST puts on semi-regular showings at several independent galleries in Keeleon. During these shows, KAST organizes the sale of artworks and promotes artist and patron relationships.   The operations of the guild seem to be susceptible to influence from the Queendom of Keeleon. This was seen by the apparent political motivations of the "Temperance and Peace" showing at the Watermill Gallery, which seemed designed to promote the strength of the queendom and downplay the threat of war.   KAST shows problems with inclusivity. They usually only accept orcish crafts. However, the guild does allow artists unaffiliated with KAST to participate in gallery showings and sell pieces during them.

Locations

KAST does not own any galleries directly. However, there are a number of galleries that KAST uses to put on art shows.
