Plane of Fire

The Plane of Fire is one of the Elemental Planes of Azimuth. It is connected through the Material Plane with at least a few founts across the world.

Description

The Inner Elemental Planes surround and enfold the Material Plane and its echoes, providing the raw elemental substance from which the world was made at the start of the Age of Creations. The four Elemental Planes – Air, Earth, Fire, and Water – form a ring around the Material Plane, which in turn is suspended within the churning Elemental Chaos.   The Plane of Fire is a vast and ceaseless expanse of black cincerns and embers crossed by rivers of lava, where a blazing sun never sets and the wind is choked with ash.

Connections to the Material Plane

Ruin's Temple

The Fire Spire Sands are a desert of sand and heat as a result of a connection to the Plane of Fire, which draws in the constant elemental energy that spreads waves of heat and sand outwards in the Material Plane. Here, Ruin's Temple was constructed to house the Zenethian Axe.   After Rath and the Zenethian Heroes transported the Heart of the Desert to the beacons of the temple in 4A 996, the energies of it were lessened somewhat. However, the heat of the Plane of Fire still comes through in fluxes.

Birdsong Tower

In Iluvitar, the Birdsong Tower was constructed by Sanazi, Wielder of the Zenethian Armor, on a fount of the Plane of Fire. This tower was filled with flowing magma and immense heat that cascaded off the tower and flowed eastward into the Flat Peaks Desert. After Brigitte, the Grayguard, defeated Sanazi, the internal heat of the tower was severed in some way. The area around the tower has cooled significantly, and it is unknown if a connection to the Plane of Fire still exists here.

Red Rocks

The Red Rocks are a number of rocky outcrops in the Red Rocks Bay of the Leviathan Sea. It is a place of known Fire Elemental activity.

History

The First Age: The Age of Creations
At the beginning, from the Elemental Planes came a pouring of energies, and thus the world was formed in masses of water, earth, wind, and fire. Matter took shape in this primordial time and the newborn world was crafted at the will of these roiling and tumultuous energies.   When the first gods came to this place and made their creations, the Primordials battled against them. When they were defeated, the Primordials retreated back to the elemental planes through the rifts that connected to the Material Plane.
