The First Mountain Arena

The First Mountain Arena, often referred to as just the Arena, is a large and well-known combat and competition arena on the Kazak Zorn level of Endor, the First Mountain, in the Kingdom of Endor.   It is host to the yearly Endor Tournaments, which take place mid-spring. In addition to these primary events, many smaller bouts, spectacles, and shows are arranged throughout the year.   The arena was severely damaged at the end of the Fourth Age. It was repaired and rebuilt in the Fifth Age.

Description

In the late Fourth Age, the Arena was a large, circular arena constructed primarily of stone. There were multiple arched entrances with banners of the kingdom hanging outside. These led to a round access hallway that circles the full arena.   This hallway provided access to multiple stairways leading to the seating areas above. The stands formed a large, circular ring around the central arena floor. The stands were open air, stone bench seats. There were several boxed areas reserved for high ranking spectators, like royalty and major clan leaders.   There were several smaller attached structures, including an administration and registration building, which included records of previous events, participants, and winners.   The arena floor was circular and flat, and several hundred feet in diameter. It was covered with a layer of sand and was open to the air of the Kazak Zorn level.   There were several entrances and accesses built into the floor of the arena, which allowed for the quick ability to install obstacles, erect cover, and allow combatants into the arena.
