The Volunteers defeat a group of Darkson warriors trying to kill the Mythical Beast they are trying to find. They rescue the Beast. It tells them its name is Karnaggonn and it shepherds souls of the dead to the afterlife or consumes them if the soul belonged to a life of evil. They also learn the true identity of the Storm Mother is that of "Umunairu, the Shepherd of Storms", and that the true giver of dreams and nightmares is "Volthaarius, the Traveler in the Silver Mist".
