Nivora
Lycans, faelene, ursarine, and gnolls, all thought to be closely related, and having a good number of features in common, are often lumped together into a group known as the Nivora, meaning something akin to “hunter” in their respective languages. This is perhaps a somewhat dubious selection as it may be a mistranslation or mishearing of the correct words, it is unclear if it is being used in the correct context, and it not a word any of the groups culturally use to refer to themselves or one another. They sport dangerous claws and teeth usable as lethal weapons, are heavily furred, and have more humanoid hands and beasial feet. Their languages, collectively called Nivora as well, also have a great deal in common with one another, similar to the differences between Noble and Border Fae. One thing of note about their communication styles is that nonverbal cues seem to be at least as important as vocalized sounds, with ear and tail positioning doing a large amount of the literal talking. It is unclear if they were created separately, but in a similar manner, if they have common descent, or if the similarities are coincidental. Ursarine are omnivorous, while the other three are purely carnivores. It is likely worth noting that their respective languages share a number of similarities, seeming to go against their commonalities being coincidental.
