Skravin
Slinking through the sewers of cities large enough to support such infrastructure are the musine skravin. These diminutive, long faced beastfolk live in small communities called warrens. About the size of a goblin or kobold, they are similarly looked down upon both literally and figuratively by the other races of the Imperium. Generally unaligned with any side other than their own, living off the scraps they can steal or scavenge from large population centers. As previously stated, sewers are a favored location for warrens. The intricate passageways allow for easy access to most parts of a city, and skravin can use their small, flexible bodies to easily move through narrow sections where others could not. Typically covered in black, brown, gray, or white fur from head to toe, their long tails tend to be either covered in much finer fur or none at all. Their claws may not pose a significant threat, but their constantly growing teeth certainly can. Skravin must constantly chew on whatever they can get their hands on from infancy through their human-length lives to keep their teeth filed to manageable lengths. Skravin tend to be viewed as dirty, sneaky, and untrustworthy by other groups, leading to their ostracism. This becomes a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy, where they are then excluded from general society on the surface. They are then forced to scavenge and steal, as no one will hire them for proper jobs. Instead warrens can function somewhat like thieves' guilds and black markets, places where people can go to find goods and services polite society might find unseemly.
