Common Myths and Legends
Katei, goddess of Takakatys River, is patron deity of the Póletrótans, who paint dragonflies on their shields to gain her protection. The Cult of Aþar is also prominent among the aristocracy, and twice every year (at spring equinox and midsummer) the rulers of Póletrót, along with the monarch of Beikatrót and Áhalía, partake in a joint ceremony in Aþar's honour on the sacred island of Aþyrin.
