The old capital of Braeland. While the kingdom supposedly fields ten knightly orders of a thousand elite and plate-clad knights apiece, today an order fielding half a dozen knights is considered rather powerful.

As with many 'Kings' of Braeland before him King Trost has proven incapable of uniting the local barons, and without their support he has no way of affording upkeep of a centralised army. This has led to him being unable to rein in the pirates of Fangflower or enforce taxes or customs on merchant traffic through the Tanquary River, which further cripples the Braeland economy and continues the downward spiral of the kingdom's fortunes. This is a situation he has largely inherited, Braeland has been in steady decline for the last several centuries.

Today Trost controls only as much territory as his knights can patrol in a day, and does so only so long as the heads of the knightly orders continue to tolerate his rule. As a result of this, there is no effective authority over these knights who mostly act as they please within the kingdom, knowing their king can ill afford to lose any of them.
