Getting Started
Thanks for taking the time to read through some of this information! There is certainly allot here, and you are far from expected to read it all, or even a large portion of it if you do not wish too. My first suggestion would be looking at the map which should be easily viewable from the top of any page on a large enough screen/window. You can select locations, read about them, and in some cases new maps to view them in a bit more detail. If you prefer to explore information about those area's without using the map you can use the Atlas of Aygess.
You can also check out The Ancient Histories of Eldridth Timeline, to learn more about the world. You could even dig into The Beginning of the Universe, to understand a bit of the mythology behind everything. If you still feel like learning information about the world, you can even take a look at the World Encyclopedia I prepared to go over those topics. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have as well.
Once you feel you have a good enough grasp on the world, feel free to leave that behind for a bit. If your new or newish to D&D 5e, or want a brush up on the rules, you can use the Rule Book to get a grasp upon the rules, and how the game works. Experienced players may want to jump into the next step, which is Player Options, though there are some homebrew rules you may want to take a look at. Specifically changes to Death, Exhaustion, and how sanity works as an additional Ability Score. In addition to those homebrew changes, there are some minor changes to class abilities, though nothing too drastic. There are also some special subclasses, and backgrounds as well, but those are included in the pages specifically for each of those topics in the Player Options. Basically, these will be our players handbook for this game, allowing you to not have to purchase your own copies, while still playing remotely.
