Aygess

The Continent of Aygess is the largest, most fertile land mass on the planet of Eldridth. Heavily forested, though two large deserts in the southern side of the continent separate much of the west and east of the land. The east side of the continent is mostly jungle, while the Northwestern side is almost all forest, even past the massive Klendev Mountain Range. These hold the tallest mountains, and separate the snowy north from the rest of Aygess.

The Queendom of Thena

The long ruling Queen of Thena has lead what was once a City State on the northeastern edge of the continent, into a well established government, the city itself has expanded and is so large it can take well more then a day to walk from the north side of the city to the southern edge, and it stretches for miles back from the coast as well.
The city sits outside of a vast forest, which have the Thena and Norstal rivers running through them. Small villages spot the roads leading to the east through the woods, mostly small farming towns, but Queenhaven is a large city in the midst of the forest, and was heavily personally funded by her Majesty the Queen of Thena, as a trade city to allow easy trade with the east coast of the continent, but also as a place that the farmers and hunters scattered through the woods wouldn't have to travel all the way into the city to unload there goods.
The vast forests are also well known for being home to scattered Gnomes and Fey Villages and from time to time even a migrating Forest Elf tribe would also setup their camp within the woods. Several Harengon also have settled the area, usually farming in clearings in the forest, and many also assist on some of the larger farms, as their high energy and agility come in handy.

Stonal Region, The Icy North

North of the Klendev Mountain Ranges, there are a few scattered villages and cities in the the valleys between the Mountains and the foothills that separate them from the Frozen Northern Tundra. Due to the general Isolation that can occur from extreme weather, these populations centers do not adhere to a larger centralized government, relying on instead on local counsels and sending representatives to help resolve disputes between each other. The people who have settled this region are well known for their indoor farms, using glass and other means to ensure food for their communities.   The city of Sleythall on the west coast is the primary importer of goods, as it has a small port, but for the most part the cities of this region must find ways to self suffice. Briny Breezes is the largest city in the north. Most of it enclosed in massive dome. This lies in the path along the Northern road between Sleythall and Winterscar. Winterscar is the point in which all travel across the Klendev Mountain Pass, and is close to Vabrack Tower, which is the mage school in the north. This school is much more selective then the one in the Othaya River Valley.
The primary way to enter the Frozen north is up the Klendev Pass, and a caravan departs down it from one side or the other after few days, depending on the weather and conditions in the mountains. North of the civilized area is a seemingly endless frozen tundra. Here the sun does not shine, and snow always seeming to be falling. There are secrets frozen in this area, but they stay secrets because of the intense dangers associated with making it through the region alive.

The Oryn Empire

By far this is the nation with the most expansive land. Bordered by 4 of the other nation states, and one of the City States, this is an empire emboldened by trade. Much of their land is desert, coast land or prairie, and their capital just north of the desert, west of the mountains, south of the forests and east of the prairie. The Oryn River flows from the mountains to the Shallam Bay. They are allied with the Queendom of Thena, which has brought much profitability to both nations, but also a sharing of food and culture. Both lands are known for their diversity, though the freedoms many of the people of the Oryn Kingdom live under may seem a bit like anarchy to those from Thena.
Each City and territory in the Oryn Empirethat those leaders swear fidelity to Emperor Polluck, the overseer of the Oryn Emperor, and monarch of Dabraso. Only in mediation between the towns, or in extreme disrespect to the Empire as a whole would the Emperor ever intercede in the governance of another town. In contrast, the will of whomever is the Marshal of the Land, that Enforcer is considered the law of unclaimed land, and his only loyalty is to that of Emperor Polluck. The holder of this title can change in rapid fashion. In the Oryn Empire, where skill and prowess is considered more heavily then past deeds, any full member among them can challenge the right to lead, and battle to death or submission against the Grand Marshal.

Whielor Island Kingdom

The Whielor Island Kingdom is a kingdom ruled by what many would consider a Pirate King. This self proclaimed kingdom, may seem loosely put together to most, but is in reality a extremely loyal batch of different crews, and villages. They rarely reach out to their far western town deep in the forests between the Kalasis Woods and the Melinach Forest. It is settled near the great Crater, and serves as a toll collection for those attempting to travel along the road from the Oryn Empire towards Queenhaven directly. Thena does not wish to patrol that deep into the woods, and so allows it, especially as it allows most of the other goods to flow through Norstal Castle. The Whielor Island Kingdom holds a fortress in the northeast coast of the mainland on the edge of the east Klendev Mountain Range.

The Tashmau Island grows food, and gives port to many crews and vessels. The Island of Frajheat is the Capital, and home to the well guarded City of Vlanta, where the King Parsons Sampson rules from, and the majority of the wealth is kept. While most would consider them pirates, they may well be the richest kingdom, having long hoarded the wealth of the continent within the walls of Vlanta. Port Chasel is a 'Free Port', though is still run by those loyal to King Sampson.

It is because of the long tradition of pirate like behavior that no city had formed besides those loyal to the Pirate king along the coast of the mainland, leaving only Driftford, the mainland pirate city.

Othaya River Valley

This land was the most influenced by the time that the Feywild was closely attached. The Feywild was the point at which the Weave of Magic converge, and so is also heavily soaked in magic. Located here is a massive windmill called The Great Nigglesforth windmill, that can be seen from almost the whole region, and it is likely more populated than Thena City itself. The Vassgrove Tower is a school for Wizards and magic users, and the City of Bugtussle sits at the southern edge of the effects of the magic. The Dinescape Alliance does not want trouble with the magic users of Vassgrove, who claim to protect the freedoms of Othaya River Valley.

Dinescape Alliance

The Desert people of the Dinescape Alliance are a traditional folk. They live as clans scattered across the Dinescape Desert from Sand's End Tower to the edge Maslands Jungle on the far side of the Greenbulk Mountains. One must traverse either the Dinescape Alliance or the Jungle to reach the Martial Academy of Aegis

Maslands Republic

The Maslands Republic expands across the entire Maslands Jungle. They are a democratic Republic of communities, and rarely leave the jungle, and will defend it to death. Those that travel the lands often come to love the jungle itself and remain there. The Capital Ryfield Marsh sits on the eastern side of the Greenbulk Mountains and is the the focal point of the many coastal city and towns. The Port City of Stormden is the only point on the northern coast of Aygess that the Pirates of Whielor allow, as the weight behind the power of the Maslands is strong.

The Three City States

Utarford, Askurg, and Hampton are three city states on the southeast. Utarford being the city on the mainland, Askurg on the larger southern island, and Hampton on its smaller northern island. Each city supports the others in the claim for self governance. They also claim the land including the Whitborough Wild Swamps as their own for protection against the militaristic Dinescape alliance.
