Many peoples span the world of Endunia, from the ubiquitous humans, to the rare tieflings. Humans, halflings, elves and dwarves are the most populous of the civilized lands, each ruling the nations of their homelands, as well as cohabiting in numerous city-states and feudal kingdoms. Orcs, seen as barbarians by the elves, humans, dwarves and halflings, once held dominion over most of the lands, but were gradually displaced by the other races. Dragonborn, one of the newer races in Endunia, have gained lands in many nations, while others of their kind roam the plains and steppes as nomads. Gnome clans often live close to wood elf settlements or mountain dwarf kingdoms, working closely with their larger brethren as prized craftsmen and tinkerers. Halflings cohabitate mostly with humans and Gnomes, and sometimes Elves, with the majority of them never venturing far from their hillside villages. Tieflings, while not a race unto themselves, can be found living in the dregs of most human or elven societies, seen as outcasts due to their fiendish heritage. Rarer races find their homes in the wildlands or attempt to gain footholds in the more cosmopolitan civilizations. Many more peoples exist throughout the continents, although their nations are not as influential or powerful.
