The Olympian Underworld

Hades, Sometimes known as Erebus, Is the Olympian underworld and one of the 5 Hells in existence. It is ruled by the Olympian deity of the same name and primarily associated with Gloom, Despair and Danger. Much like the other hells, The majority of people in Hades are brought here due to belief, Place of Death, Circumstance and Actions. Residents of this realm are named Shades.
Hades is split into two regions, Tartarus and Asphodel. Tartarus is where the majority of Shades live, It is where the river, Styx and It's boatman, Charon, Are located. Many of the "heroes" that didn't make the cut for Elysium end up becoming very popular among the shades in Tartarus, Usually living in Shade City or alone in the fields. Beyond the mountain range that surrounds Tartarus is named "The Plains", A large and empty expanse of rock and ash. Only the shades that have committed the worst of atrocities are thrown there.
Asphodel is where some shades live, But is mostly where the monster races are normally placed. It is a large lake of Lava and Flame with islands scattered throughout the area, It is normally navigated by the boatman Phlegethos. Due to the multiple islands, Most consider the bits of lava as one giant river, Dubbed "The River, Lethe". The majority of islands in Asphodel are almost completely covered in large volcanic mountains and ancient ruins, Many have tried to make settlements in the region, Only to end up falling to a Bone Hydra or a similar danger.
Hades as a realm very much channels the ideas of "Absolution through Patience", But because there have only been one or two people in history that this has actually worked for, It's more of a nice motto rather than a guarantee.
