The Lucky Tern
The Lucky Tern was commissioned by Dorthy Hewlett as a gift to mark thetwenty-first birthday of her son Tylan Hewlett. It was designed by her father Master Sammen Hewlett and constructed in the drydock at Latchcastle, with the ship being launched in time to be brought to Selsa's Rest for the celebrations in December of 443.
The Tern is a Cutter, a ship built for speed and manoeuvrability. It supports a crew of twenty. It has cabins suitable for up to 5 additional passengers to travel in relative comfort. Its hold has space to transport an up to an additional fifteen men or two Revenue worth of trade goods. The ship also has a variety of smugglers' compartments, capable of carrying a single Revenue worth of items or up to four cooperative passengers or a single prisoner in a way that is hidden from view by those onboard.
