Youngest of
Farron and
Ailym's children, the brightest of their daughters, knowing they could never give her what she sought in life, for their own violent dispositions did not sit well with their child. Though like her sisters she was quick to learn, they could sense it did not sit true to her nature, thus did they send her to the halls of
Oktavi, to be taught in a manner to her liking. But with the death of her
Mother, her
Father called her home, aspect or not, a war called, vengeance, so consumed by it did he drag his Daughter down with him, almost losing his mantle until Valatau took upon herself his anger and vengeance, a mark of shame upon
Farron, and a scar upon his daughter.
When her
elder sister returned as Lolth, Valatau was at first overjoyed to see her sister, but as the Civil war broke out, she still joined their
Father, to preserve the pantheon. With the betrayal of her two sisters many began to suspect the line of
Farron, but
Raziel offered a way to show their continued loyalty to the Pantheon, he would take Valatau as his bride, and take the place of
Morkova as a goddess of life.
Aspects
The Maiden of Life
The Maiden of life is a goddess of the Harvest, it is she who brings spring and life to desolate winter lands, and it is she commonfolk pray to for a good harvest. But she is more than that, the maiden of life is a goddess of compassion and familial love, that one must always support one's family and dearest, being their pillar in times of hardship, that you may lean on them later.
She sees her worshippers as a family and treats those who give her worship with great respect and affection.
The Ashen Maiden
Those scorned and those who have lost what family they have, may call upon the Ashen maiden, for she has felt your sorrow, and your loss, she understands the need one may have for vengeance, to settle that burning desire even if it means you burn out. it is a sanguine deal one makes, a pact for the rest of your life, she will aid you in your vengeance, but if you succeed, your life is hers to keep.
Worship
To give worship to Valatau is simple, give your thanks and your offerings to her temple, give back some of that which she has helped you achieve, to symbolic show her you are true to her Aspect as the Maiden of Life, that such offerings may later be redistributed by the church to those in need.
