Tucked within one of Kowloon's many narrow corridors, Parts Row is a stretch of businesses primarily catering to the wellness of visiting patrons. Whether you’re seeking a cure-all for a stubborn ailment, a mood-enhancer, an appetite-suppressant, or an aphrodisiac, it can be found here if you know who to ask.
For those with the motives and the means, however, Parts Row is more than a simple apothecary market. As its name implies, many of the goods sold here are rendered from plants and animals from across Kenos, particularly those found in dangerous and out-of-the-way locales, such as the unmapped portions of the Below, or the forests of Alenroux and the Beyond. Raw materials, and occasionally even living creatures, pass through this part of Kowloon on their way to hands in different parts of the city: to be distributed by exotics dealers such as The Unseen, to be used by unscrupulous researchers, or to be processed and sold in one of Kowloon’s many drug dens. For those with the right connections, however, it’s possible to buy merchandise directly from the source.
It’s best not to inquire too closely about where anything in Parts Row originated. Not everything sold here is rare simply because of the danger involved in acquiring it; bizarre monsters, mythical beasts, and sacred plants and animals smuggled from Springstar and Highstorm are the least of what’s rumoured to end up in market stalls. Not all of the people to go missing in Ryad are simply eaten by monsters.
