Astral Sea

The Astral Plane is the boundary that lies between the other planes, guarding The Material Plane. It is an amorphous realm where the will and the imagination have influence over the surrounding space, where one can will oneself to float and move. Some creatures whose species have been there for a long time have learned to actually shape the amorphous matter and energy into structures and objects.
Many wizards and casters alike travel to the Astral Sea in search of information, old knowledge or strange creatures to teach them. Many of them do not return. Some say they found what they were looking for and are absorbed within their own minds, some say what they were looking for found them.
