Hull Clade
The Hull Clade falls under the jurisdiction of the Xanderreefs and focuses on protection and durability. Currently, the clade is researching numerous different areas. One major focus is that of magical shields and barriers, with the Clade researching and developing spells and magical constructs capable of repelling physical and magical attacks, deflecting projectiles, or creating impenetrable force fields. Alongside with this, materials and architectural designs are studied to enhance the durability and resilience of buildings, structures, and defensive fortifications. This could involve experimenting with magically reinforced materials or creating new alloys resistant to corrosion and wear. With war brewing and high tensions across all of Krynn post Cataclysm, the Hull Clade has also delved into defensive enchantments, crafting magical items imbued with protective enchantments, such as armour that grants enhanced resilience against specific types of damage, and magical items that create a protective aura around the wearer. Another major area of expertise for the Clade is Cnidaria’s Emergency Evacuation systems - As the current Clade leader doubles as an Aristocrat and the Speaker of Spirits, they place a heavy emphasis on the safety of their people and ensuring that there is a failsafe for their people. As of such, the Hull Clade research’s magical teleportation and escape mechanisms to evacuate individuals from dangerous situations or transport them to secure locations in times of crisis.
The Hull Clade is also collaborating with the Guardian Clade to look into increasing the biological resilience of Vedalkens, researching magical means to enhance the natural durability and resilience of living organisms, whether through alchemical treatments, enchanted implants, or genetic manipulation.
