Ding Dong Bluffs

The Ding Dong Bluffs are a series of steep, craggy mountains located just north of Lingmell, with a landscape that is both scenic and slightly unnerving. Known for their distinctly layered rock formations and sharp cliff faces, the Bluffs stand as a natural border, separating Lingmell from the wilder lands beyond. The bluffs have earned their whimsical name from the echoing sounds that bounce between the peaks—often the result of goblins chattering, shouting, or causing general mayhem within the mountains.

History

The Ding Dong Bluffs are notorious for their goblin population, a chaotic mix of clans and tribes that have claimed various territories throughout the range. The goblins of the bluffs are known to be mischievous and territorial, often setting up makeshift camps in the caves or among the boulders. They use the natural terrain to their advantage, building rudimentary fortifications from rocks and logs to ward off unwanted visitors.   These goblins are famous for their noisy, echoing antics, which have become something of a signature characteristic of the bluffs. Travelers often hear the distant sounds of laughter, shouts, and the occasional clang of metal reverberating through the cliffs. Goblin raids on nearby villages are not uncommon, and the residents of Lingmell have learned to stay wary of unexpected visits from the goblins in the night.
