History
According to Councilwoman Copperlocks, Captain Fireborn is the only one on the council with any sense. Captain Fireborn, for his part, sees Manistrad as a fellow servant of the Emperor, and admires her loyalty.
History
While they often disagree with eachother, Senior Councilwoman Oweland and Captain Fireborn don't outright oppose one another. Fireborn does wish Oweland would care more about the larger interests of the Empire, but as the Captain of the Guard he understands his desire to protect the town. Meanwhile, Eda does want Eliander to prioritize Saltmarsh more, but still respects his communal role as Captain of the Guard and as the town's translator.
History
Councilman Primewater and Captain Fireborn are, in the Captain's eyes, mere co-councilmembers with differing visions of Saltmarsh's future, nothing more. Eliander admits that Primewater throws some nice parties, but wishes he cared about something other than his luxury. Gellan, meanwhile, is suspicious of Captain Fireborn, as he is an instrument of the Emperor Mr. Primewater so wishes would leave his colonial haven alone.
History
Both Captain Fireborn and Councilman Solmor share a distaste for smugglers and disgust for the Sea Princes, which brings them together on many aspects of law. They don't always agree about how the community ought to expand, though; Eliander thinks Saltmarsh ought to become a useful tool for the Emperor, while Anders believes the town should be free to prosper in their own right.
Captain Fireborn is the one-legged captain of the Saltmarsh town guard. Dedicated to the Emperor, he is devoted to establishing order and peace in the town. He's also a collector of rare books, which has made him well versed in a variety of languages.
