Tenri

Tenri is a large city and tributary territory of the Shou Empire. It is currently ruled by sovereign overseer Solana Shakrana.

History

Tenri was originally founded as an elven commune by elves fleeing the Shou-Elvish Wars. Within a millennia, the territory found itself once again in the shadow of the empire, and was subjugated in a series of short conflicts that established the territory as a tributary state of the Shou Empire. It has retained special legal status since, with elected council members choosing an overseer of the territory, who is then expected to marry or become a concubine to the Shou nobility.
