This is Vasim's third attempt to start a business, his shop in Shiran accidentally burned down in 715TR and be lost his second business after a lawsuit in 717TR. In early 720TR the original owner of the business, Hafon Jeredosta needed to leave town fast and sold this franchise to Vasim at a significant discount.
He is an acceptable alchemist when sober, although he accidentally sets himself on fire with disturbing regularity.
