The city of Coranan’s major guildhall of Arcane study serving as a home to various magic users, scholars and a hostel for visiting guild members in the Thardic Republic.

Its arcane archives are enormous and considered excellent quality.

However, the standard of magical training is poor, and the Academy only prospers due to donations of rich Senatorial and Merchant families.

Guildhall for practitioners of the magical arts.

Library (mostly magic and esoteric knowledge.

Support members of the guild in their research and arcane activities.

Architecture

A large marble and stone Guildhall of the imperial style typical to old Corrani Imperials buildings. Often erratic light displays can be seen emanating from the building barred windows or its faded red dome.

The building comprises of.

Imperial Archives – An Ancient collection of arcane orientated books and scroll, most significant in western Hârn. Very Good Quality and warded against fire; light is provided by special alchemical lanterns.

3 Sanctums, a large underground chamber in the cellars warded against magic. For spell and alchemy experimentation. One of the Sanctums has a large cage assumed for study or experimentation on magical monsters.

Common room.

3 large common laboratories.

14 Personal chambers with attached laboratories (11 currently occupied).

Large archive of minor and medium level magical trinkets and artifacts.

History

475TR - An ancient magic users Guildhall of magic believed to have been founded by Sylud the Scholar amalgamating a dozen smaller organizations throughout the Corani Empire and for many years it benefited from imperial patronage.

566TR - Guildhall overran by the Balshan Jihad and most guild members executed or forced to flee.

573TR - Morgathic Priests and necromancers from the Theocracy of Techos Guild looted many ancient texts, those especially pertaining to the dark arts.

620TR - Guild Hall formally re-established and however it has yet to recover its former grandeur. It is still regarded as a second class magical institute.
