Armor

Armor is vitally important in NEXUS. Each piece of protective gear equipped to a Guardian Frames helps to deflect or reduce damage to prevent Health loss and Death. Armor can also be enhanced by attaching Armor Mods as well. Armor is divided between five different categories. Each type has a designated equipment slot that corresponds to a different body part, and each can have different stats, perks, damage resistance modifiers, and other benefits to combat capabilities. Most Armor is solely dedicated to defense, however higher rarities are weighted towards additional Attributes and enhancements to HP and SP.   Only one piece of Legendary Armor may be equipped at a given time.

ARMOR CATEGORIES

In addition to different Armor Types, each piece is also designated with a different Armor Class, each with distinct benefits and drawbacks.

Light Armor

Low Weight helps focus on movement speed and Ability regeneration. However, Light Armor generally has less overall damage reduction capability.

Medium Armor

An overall balance with no particular focus or weakness.

Heavy Armor

BENEFITS

Some Armor pieces contain Mod slots which can have Armor Mods installed into them. These Mods can have various effects such as increasing Elemental Damage, improving healing, providing a boost to maximum Thrusters, adding an additional layer of defense such as a Barrier, or adding bonus points to maximum Loadout Power.   Players may find Epic and Legendary weapons with similar names, however their stats and perks will often vary individually.
