Daumenhugels
Legend says these hills are full of roving Voidspawn that originate in a hidden pool that acts as a portal to the Void. This is known to be somewhat true as Voidspawn are frequent here, but not to the degree peasant stories tell and there is no evidence of any portal.
The hills however are rich with salt and despite the dangers, Frisians have built the Zelder Salt Mines in the southern portion of the hills to extract this valuable resource. Patrols from nearby Margraten frequently assist with the dangers here to ensure the valuable commodities reach their destination.
Geography
The Daumenhugels are small and rolling and are tucked between the Nord Berkwoud to the north and the Middel Berkwoud to the south.
