- Quill - a colleague of Sespedel. uses feathers as darts which they can fire/manipulate at great speed, possibly involving poison. either the psychopathic son of a senior official, who does a bad job with impunity and kills for fun in his free time; or a boring older lawyer type whose day job is cover for their role as a government-employed assassin.
- Mercenary/adventurer team (needs a name): Natural King, a frog-man who can induce controlled hallucinations through touch (a Knack Rathe the sloth, who is strong and slow and posh and considered, and who plays an extremely rare Alzig Songstaff (stack of glass bowls on a glass rod, which can be played by turning the staff with one hand and playing bowls with the other, and which magically "sharpens" - wits, reflexes, minds, attentions, weapons etc Jaraz the quick silver hare (former member of The Ennant, now hunted for breaking the Order's vow of not divulging contents of messages - though in this case the message would have caused great harm - and now dies fur to conceal their identity) who us good at vocal impressions; and Chenst the owlguin from Lacrestand, who can swim or fly, is a coward, and is small and extremely clever. Possibly connection to Hahemir's Fabulists and Wits?

Extremely powerful, lives in a remote location (as they bring ashyness to the entire area around them) and doesn't carry out their ritual with just anyone. Collects fragments of other elements. Born in Sarlim shortly before the Great Eruption, it was that event that imfused them with ash.

- Swalloweasel or swallow-iguana - a maneater character who is one of these and acts as a servant/partner/leader, possibly with the onion-mage?
- Felletoum onion-mage or onion-knight- effectively has tear-gas weaponry. Eats raw onions to help maintain infusion? Ghellim is hired to help take him out? Allium knight or order of Allium? Relatively humanoid, or many eyed onion-head that doesn't eat but sunbathes all day? FTM, cis male, cis female, genderless?
- Ylohom giant warrior, who was a friend of Effgaw the Battle-Brewer and was killed in the War of Red Lakes. their giant helmeted skull still remains - a hive of bees or similar grown in the skull - their stings ossify - and possibly as a base of some kind. is it underwater? often deluged? ossifying bees live in its skull.
- New one-off character - ninja fly-lady - insane reflexes/speed - ties to meatlands?
- a character from teytonol, who fights with big magic needles and thread.
