Session 2: "The Cage"

General Summary

We attempted to interrogate the surviving thug, however he simply lied so was useless to us.
Eilana assassinated him as we moved off, despite a gathered crowd. Arvid and Esmae are distressed by this, but TNO accepted things need to be able to be as their true nature dictates, unless there is a greater reason to alter them.
We head off nearby to the Monument.
Mourns for Trees was an old sorrowful man near a sick looking tree, nearby the monument. Esme talks with him and he is distressed that nobody cares for the trees.

• Esme says that she cares a lot. This unlocks something within her and she learns Primal magic. She gives him a salvia flower and he plants it in the ground and it grows

• I also accept that the trees deserve our care and respect.

• Eilana managed to slightly heal the tree

• Arvid also accepts and his clothing spawns a cloak ( Cloak of Fallen Leaves ). This has him recall a great slaughter in this place.

In his presence we heard an echo of the ?? Eldest say “the People are a bridge”
Mourns for Trees says we should bring healing to this place of pain and places his hands on TNO's chest with the Symbol of Torment then appearing.

A woman cries to us seeking help to rescue her sister that she says is bleeding in a nearby alleyway. We are wary as Dak’kon investigates. As expected, three thugs lurked within the alleyway and they attack. We kill two and arrest the third. We take him to Ebb Creaknees to be dealt with by the law, rather than by Eilana's Mercykiller justice..

We return back to the NE looking for Ingress. We were able to reassure her and give her directions to Candrian to help her hand.

Nearby is a collector called Pox. He talked to TNO about Pharod, and also mentions another Collector named Sharegrave. He mentions that the Dusties might have his book.

Annah again abuses us as we pass. All is right with the world !!

Heading to Angyar & Lily’s home for rest, we see an old lady sweeping the stoop. A tall creature is floating sl above the ground. Is a Dabus, and they speak in puzzles as they hammer rhythmically at a metallic vine. Watching them work had TNO recall his knowledge of using Smiths tools.
TNO asked of the razor vine’s purpose, and the Dabus replied with a symbol for the Lady of Pain. The Dabus appear to be servants of the Lady.

We talk with the old lady, Lily. She is agitated and worried about her husband, and she says he is distressed and restless. Has been for 3 months. He had signed a Dustmen contract and now regrets it. We offered to help ( Free Angyar from the Dustman Contract ).
We asked to stay, and did so for 5cp each.
