Harry Potter
Henry Potter (a.k.a. Harry Evans, Wen Xu Gong, Xiao Gong)
Henry Potter was born on the Autumnal Equinox (Sep 21) of 1868 in Godric's Hollow, England while in hiding with his parents, Lord James Potter and Lily Evans. When he was three, on Beltane (May 1) of 1871, his family was attacked. His parents were murdered and he was left with a powerful curse taking the form of a lightning scar on his right wrist. Albus Dumbledore and Remus Lupin attempted to conceal his identity with a guise, but it was complicated by the curse, resulting in only Henry's eyesight being damaged and his lightning scar hidden under a treskellion mark on the underside of his right wrist. Remus Lupin then took him to live with his aunt, Petunia Evans, in Belfast, Ireland. Ten years later, Remus Lupin retrieved Harry and reintroduced him to the magical world, much to Harry's discomfort and anxiety. Harry particularly struggled with being famous, as he was so used to being ignored at the Dursleys.
Remus was startled to find that Harry's appearance was ethereal once cleaned up, and began to suspect that something was wrong with the boy as his magic was overworking to heal and beautify him beyond what nature and his parent's lineages had crafted. Once his Hu Li Jing Poison was cured, he began to return to his original natural appearance. Harry discovered by accident that he was a Parselmouth (a mage able to speak Parseltongue).

The Philosopher's Stone
Harry has no memory of his parents at all, or of the hard times in Sailortown. His earliest memory was Dudley pushing him toward a roaring fireplace in their nursery in Privet Drive. However, he always knew that he was different from his fair cousins because of his black hair and narrow Asian eyes, even if they were the same colour as Aunt Petunia and his cousin Rose. Uncle Vernon particularly disapproved of the small three-leaf clover birthmark on his right wrist that he had always wondered was natural or some forgotten scar. His cruel Aunt Marge took every chance to remind him that he was a "heathen half-bred orphan", preventing him from developing the same level of confidence as his cousins. He was never allowed to forget that he was the ward of the Dursleys and that one misstep could lead him to an orphanage, work camp, or mine. He rarely spoke, and maintained his manners as much as he could with the Dursleys. Regardless, they still treated him like a nuisance, and refused to allow him to be treated as an equal to their children. He wasn't even dressed like other boys his age, as Aunt Petunia had refused to breach him (dress him in breaches) until forcing him to serve the family as a page and footman living in a cupboard in the coachhouse. The only consideration that the Dursleys ever showed Harry was to have photographs taken of him every May. He had no idea why these photographs were taken, as they were never displayed in the house, but the Dursleys never allowed the appointment to be missed.
In PS - Chap 3, Harry encountered a strange man who disguised himself repeatedly in order to get close to Harry, and eventually attacked him. However, this incident exposed Harry's real identity as well as the full force of his magic. He began to have visions of his parents that he couldn't possibly have known about or dreamed of, but didn't understand what was happening to him and so hid the visions from those around him. In Chapter 5, Harry's powers began acting out whenever he was in pain, saving him from the sexual assault from Dudley and Piers Polkiss. His own belief that his Aunt Marge would never cross that line kept him from attacking her as well when she forced him into a bone-breaking corset. He was rescued from the Dursleys by Remus Lupin and taken to Edinburgh, then Potter Manor in 1881 (PS Chap 6).
Determined to restore him to his family's glory, Remus Lupin took Harry to Diagon Alley to begin his reintroduction to the magical world, starting with a good clean at the Edin Bathhouse. Harry was overwhelmed to see what he looked like without the grime of his daily servant's life, and struggled to adjust to being a nobleman. This led him to take advantage of the friendship offered by Draco Malfoy in order to learn how to acclimate to this strange magical world (PS Chap 7).
Accidental Magic Incidents
While living at the Dursleys, Harry only experienced a few accidental magic incidents, mostly passive. His hair rejected cutting, causing it to grow longer with each attempted cut. When Marge tried to force him to wear a hideous uniform, it shrunk until it was unable to fit him.More impressive are the two incidents of accidental apparition. The first occurred the winter that he turned 12 when Dudley chased him around and he apparated to the rooftop of 4 Privet Drive. The other occurred in PS - Chapter 3 when he apparated to the boiler room of the S.S. Coptic to get out of the coal cellar. Both incidents exhausted him so much that he slept for full days afterward.
